Hello everyone.
A fan of the Chuckle Brothers has set up a petition online to try and get ChuckleVision back on TV after it was axed by the BBC a few years ago, their loss. I know many of you will have your own opinions on the show, some of you absoloutely hating it and criticising it, but there are some people that would love to see it return to TV screens, as repeats, if not on the BBC then another channel. Myself, a fan would love to see this happen and some of you on Digital spy may also.

I just want to spread the word of the petition as it has been quite successful in the few days it has been posted, over 3000 people signed towards the 10,000 target. If you can help, it would be most appreciated.

I don't know I guess they've just always relied on the BBC as in the past they have been quite kind to them considering they commissioned ChuckleVision every year for 21 years, then the ratings started to slide a bit, and just cancelled them. I suppose they think they're too old to start anything new, but I know if the BBC asked them to do anymore ChuckleVision they'd jump at the chance, they love the show.

Or just make a program where we can buy the episode to watch.

Are you claiming that the Chuckle Brothers are paedophiles?
If so and you have strong evidence then perhaps you should visit your local police station and hand over that evidence.
If on the other hand you are making a libellous statement which is totally untrue, then you should perhaps prepare for a visit from the police.
because they think that children aren't interested in the show because less children watched the last new series aired. But I'd still think they'd find them familiar enough to watch. They should launch a channel for kids shows yes, or put ChuckleVision on GOLD for example designed for comedy, still more reachable and tolerable than other channels out there.
It's such a shame they have rarely been repeated, Series 3 for example, I believe has only been repeated once since it's original airing in 1989/1990, which, if memory serves correctly, was in around 2000 on BBC Choice in the early afternoon. Although I think they may have missed out a few episodes during the repeat run, such as S3 Ep4, Home Helpless.
I also seem to recall they repeated ChuckleVision beginning with Series 4 on CBBC Channel, maybe in around 2004/2005? Something like that.
As for the DVD releases, I was so excited when the began releasing them on DVD. Series 1 and 2 I had never seen, but then they stop, just as we get to classic Chucklevision, changing to the format that most of us love and remember, from the humorous Blue Peter style of the first two series.
I would love them to be repeated again, in order, or made available on DVD, or even something like Netflix. I honestly don't think it will happen though, maybe a chance of more DVD releases in the future if another company take the release rights, although very slim I think, but I can't see them being repeated since the BBC have decided some episodes are no longer suitable for broadcast.
I agree and glad to see a long time fan. Yes you're right they were repeated (Series 3) on BBC Choice in early 2000's as my friend can confirm who has recorded all the episodes off there and they're on YouTube currently if you search for Series 3. Many episodes were missed out yes, the ones I know repeated were 'Stand and Deliver,' 'Parks and Wreck-Reations' 'Stop That World...!' 'Ship Shape-Less' 'Window Wind Ups' 'On the Move' 'Hotel Hostilities' 'Car Carnage' and 'Cabbies and Chips' and didn't repeat' 'Trouble in Store' 'Poster Pranks' 'Cycle Crazy' and 'Home Helpless' all of except the latter have been uploaded to YouTube by someone who had recorded them from the original broadcasts.
Yes they repeated Series 4 up to present on the CBBC Channel from about 2002/2003 to around late 2005/early 2006 when their policy came in and they didn't repeat old episodes. They had a ChuckleZone in the morning which repeated 3 20 minute/4 15 minute episodes each morning from any series including the unedited versions of Series 12 & 13, just shows their dedication back then.
I was also very excited when they started releasing the DVD's. Like many I have collected the first two series and have been disappointed they haven't decided to release further series, I think this is because they want to release other 'important' programmes before they return to ChuckleVision which hopefully they will, as I can't see the BBC being so kind as to do it themselves. It's a shame they didn't release the milestone series 3, but I'm grateful as to see the first two original series, which I thought I'd never see and although the format isn't to my complete tastes, it's nice to see how the show originated.
I think putting them on Netflixs/LoveFilm is a good idea and it seems more likely that that is going to happen then possible DVD releases in the future. All we can do is keep campaigning to get the series out there somewhere for every fan to view, where that's DVD or online streaming (Netflix, LoveFilm)
That's fine, it's for everyone's opinion. If you don't want to sign that's fine, but some do, which is encouraging to see.

But yeah, I'd love to see CBBC show repeats of the show. In fact I'd love i if the BBC created a new childrens channel purely for showing old favourites like Chucklevision, Bodger and Badger, The Demon Headmaster etc. But I suppose it would probably be too expensive.

To be honest, no, it was never confirmed officially by them. I just think because it's not such an iconic show in their eyes, they just snuffed it out quietly without anyone noticing. But I emailed the executive producer of the last few series Joe Godfrey who now is a head at CBBC, told me that they didn't do so well on their last outing and viewing figures started to drop, only in the last series or so I think, and probably on repeats so unfortunately they decided to axe it. Shame because Paul had said in a news report a few years earlier that back in the late 90's they had had a meeting with executives at the BBC and they had told them they could stay until they wanted to retire. But it's obvious their attitudes have changed since then.
