According to Ronnie C, the Slitheen are in it. I think I'll give it a miss.

As it's for charidee and I was never going to see it as canon, I don't mind a bit of Slitheen ;-)

Do you consider Time Crash and The Pudsey Cutaway canon or not?

I know nobody (well very few people) consider Dimensions in Time and a Fix for Sontarans canon but with the later charity stuff they have taken pains to fit them into series continuity.

    Time Crash = yes.
Curse of the Fatal Death = no.

He was asking cobaltmale who doesn't consider (it seems) any of the charity specials canon.

Canon or not, I still find the slitheen to be cringeworthily ridiculous and embarrasing and will probably give it a miss like I do everyother slitheen story when rewatching a series.

P.S. - Wonder if the events of the series 4 finale will be referenced either by SJA or by the slitheen who if Russell had his way would have made an appearance in it.

My 9 year old nephew thinks they are hilarious, I am guessing he doesn't get the Ood so much though, I reckon the Slitheen are for the littleys.

Why would they mention the series 4 finale when the 2nd series of SJA was set after it anyway?
Unless we're talking about the Slitheen mentioning their sister planet Klom being stolen?!

I feel anyone who goes on about canon should be forced to listen to the 4 hour long continuity heavy big finish 40th anniversary story Zagreus until their brain melts out their ears!

So is Ronnie Corbett a Time Lord?

Joking, though the last time we saw someone appear out of thin air wearing a Bowler Hat on DW it was a Time Lord :)

It wasn't that spectacular, was it (it wasn't mean to be) but it was fantastically weird seeing Ronnie C alongside Liz Sladen in the nu-Who universe. I did really giggle when he was about to start his chair monologue :D

    Quite cringy, but still fun.

Oh, and Ronnie's character was called "Rani" - that is a hoot, after reading the post above :D

Davina Mcall should play the Rani , as long as they bring her back before DT departs. Her team up with David in presenting Comic Relief is great so far:)

The SJA Comic Relief bit was horrendous. I never expected it to be anything but that. It was fun, and without disappearing up my own arse, I think it can be taken as canon.

Did anyone else notice that Lis herself didn't have that much dialogue?

The Two Ranis... love it. Somehow me thinks RTD is reading the 'is so and so The Rani?' posts on DS. :D

    A couple of thoughts:

Is YouTube working for anybody just now?

Will David auction off the white pinstripe suit?

Yup YT just came back for me, but it was off for about an hour or so.

    Another thought:

Is Luke going to be allowed to go so Emo for the series proper?

Loved SJA! Great fun! Luke needs a haircut, though.

Hence my emo comment. I think Tommy is a bit like that in real life, but for Luke there needs to be a reason why he's turned.

I thought it was a lovely little sketch.

Tiglets liked it too. Youngest quite earnest in her prouncement that RC was a slitheen from the moment he turned up.

All the jokes went over her head, but I take it they were there for the mums and dads.
