I love the name actually. It subtly tells everyone that they're a strong line-up and they won't be swapping members. It's a fresh start, it's classy, it's not some tacky play on the Sugababes name, and it completely sets them apart from Sugababes 4.0.

    I think it's perfect.

One of the underground bloggers said a few months ago they were going with "The Original Sugababes" as their name, so I presume Crown (Sugababes' management and brand owners) licensed it to them or something.

There's something quite humorous about ''Origibabes'' - mainly because it makes me think of a Japanese cartoon-porn show!

How about New MoniKerS ? ;)

To be fair, Mutya left when she had post-natal depression, and they were about 16 when Siobhan left over feeling like an outsider. I don't think they're out for revenge, Mutya wanted to rejoin when it was rumoured Amelle was leaving before Keisha was kicked out, and Siobhan probably just wants an opportunity to make music again, because she said during the days of myspace that she wanted to keep making music but didn't see how it was possible. I'm sure at 27 they're all capable of getting along, even if they didn't as teenagers.

I am pleased to them back but it does worry me Amelle and Heidi quit for much the same reason as Siobhan (but then got the offer to continue). That was the downfall as it was one change too many BUT keisha and Siobhan have slated one another throughout the years, with Keisha saying they only became the Sugababes when Heidi joined and Siobhan when Keisha was sacked saying what goes around, comes around.

I think it is good they are moving away from the Sugababes brand as it is damaged. (Heidi, Amelle and Jade should have done the same and it may have worked)

Looking forward to it but would be more excited if it were Mutya Keisha and Heidi

Interesting that the names aren't alphabetical and Siobhan is last! Wonder if they split that will be sighted. When Siobhan leaves and Heidi joins will she need to change her name by deedpoll?

I can't honestly imagine they'll be called this name. It's utterly ridiculous. It might just be a case of trademarking it for the sake of it - companies trademark things all the time to protect them.

But then I guess it doesn't matter what they're called if they can't recapture the original sound and end up tanking ..

What happens when one of them strops and leaves again? Will Heidi leave the sugababes and join this lot.

This could all cause an explosion in time and space.

    What creativity and originality.

If this is reflected in their music, I assume they'll just do the Sugababes greatest hits.

Perhaps they'll change the running order every six months so noone gets upset over another getting first billing.

Let's be honest, they are only together because Mutya and Siobhan's album didn't sell and Keisha got no offers after her attempt at launching a solo career when she got no industry offers from her three showcase gigs. It was this or Butlins bookings alongside Eoghan Quigg for the next three years until they are totally forgotten.

They could take a leaf out of Prince's book:

The Artistes formerly known as The Sugababes:)

Out of all the things they could have come up with, they decide their names. It hardly rolls of the tongue...

I guess I won't really mind as long as the music is more creative and has more thought. :p

    Totally agree with you.

I'm really excited to hear what Mutya Keisha Siobhan come up with. I absolutely loved the original Sugababes' sound and hope that it's as catchy and edgy as it was back then :)

Oh and having a really good chuckle at some of the 4.0 fans in here. And some of you call the original group members bitter :D:D:D

I like the new name, agree with the other posters who think it shows that they won't be chaning members.

I loved the original line up, and I liked Heidi, but I always wondered if she was so unhappy why didn't she leave years before.

Thie first album is still my favourite, completely different to what was around back then.

God awful name. I'm fairly certain they were given the okay to use "Sugababes" in their band name as well, so it makes it even more stupid.

I don't think they can keep that name. Mutya won the limited Legal rights, but I think Heidi and co keep that legal name, so the original girls can't use it. But Mutya could take it to court again.

Mutya won the rights to use the Sugababes name on stationery as far as I remember.

The've apparently confirmed that the new group will be called "Mutya Keisha Siobhan" as well which is really an utterly ridiculous name - however - if they shorten it to "MKS" then it might be more bearable.

Same here - I was a bit shocked when I first read it but it makes sense and it is quite clever. Everyone was/is expecting them to come back with revenge showing who's the real 'babes. Instead they are making the come back about them as individuals and highlighting their own personalities and so strengths. I also like the fact they're keeping it simple with the name but yet there's something bold about it. And the pics are so stunning!!! I must say I'm very excited about this reunion:)

I'm thrilled they're working together again and can't wait to hear their new music. I love One Touch and was a big fan of Sugababes 1.0. But I also love Heidi and somehow wish she'd also join MKS and make them a 4-piece!

I think Mutya's solo album is really underrated and she has a killer voice. As for Siobhan I've been a big fan of hers as a solo artist since Revolution In Me - one of my favourite albums ever! Ghosts is also great and I have all her cd singles (she has some brilliant 'b-side' songs not on either album). She is a terrific artist and I was surprised (and slightly disappointed) when I first heard she was getting back with Mutya and Keisha, simply because I wanted to hear more great solo work from Siobhan, but now they are together I'm keen to hear what they've come up with. I hope it's good and that they have success with it! :)
