Only heard this for the first time a few days ago (ready or not), stumbled across it on MTV HD and lets just say my attention was caught. Catchy chorus although it's like she ran out of lyrics at the end :P
I saw someone mention this was sampling another song. I know the Fugees and Lightening Seeds have both released songs with the same title but I'm assuming it's something else as I'm not hearing any similarities?
Edit: A quick search turns up The Delfonics. I always think of sampling being done with the melody rather than lyrics.
^ I didn't know that The Fugees had sampled another track in their song. Presuming that the writers of Bridgit's song were inspired by the popular Fugees track rather than the lesser-known Delfonics original, that would make it a sample of a sample! Having said that, I wouldn't really it a sample myself because it's only a few of the same lyrics rather than a borrowed tune or vocals.
