John Paul McQueen is left heartbroken next week when he confesses his feelings to Doug Carter.
The hunky teacher plucks up the courage to tell Doug that he’s in love with him.
But he doesn’t get the response he was hoping for when Doug admits he’s still in love with Ste Hay.
A Hollyoaks insider said: "John Paul thought he and Doug could be happy together but it’s just not meant to be.

Either Doug is lying just to have an excuse becuase he's afraid of being with JP for whatever reason, or Sarah's right and PJ's leaving. They wouldn't put Stug back together, Ste's made his feeling more than clear.
