  Jim Broadbent.
  
  The range of stuff he turns up in is extraordinary. Indiana Jones, OFAH, any kind of Mike Leigh thing... any British film with a young lead character, chances are 'dad', 'granddad' or maybe 'boss' is going to be Jim Broadbent. Last film I saw at the cinema was Damned United, he was in that.

  Agree about Cumberbatch in a lot of films.
  
  David Mitchell has been in every panel show going.
  The papers nicknamed him the 'panel show guy' or something like that for a while.
  
  I'm pretty sure he was on Would I lie to you, QI and hosted Have I got news for you in the same week!
