Graham Crowden (Tom Ballard Waiting for God) he seems like a nice man. Alastair Sim would be an interesting choice.
I can't say I have given a Grandad much thought, but I know for my Granny. I would love Margaret Rutherford. She is my perfect idea of a Granny - all dotty, charming and cuddly. I would also like Joyce Grenfell as an Auntie. I never knew my Grandparents, so these choices will be my ideal family.
Granda Simpson He actually reminds me of my sister in law's dad who used to tell long, rambling stories. My nephew said his stories were all middle with no beginning or end.
If we're allowed those who are no longer with us, I'd say Richard Briers. If forced to choose from the living, I'd definitely go with Bernard Cribbins. Especially for bedtime stories! He does the BEST Piglet voice ever.
