Slow motion overdone.

Anyone else like me absolutely fed up with needless slow motion scenes in films? It's used so much these days it looses any impact. The first time I saw it used was in Rashomon in the '50s. In many of todays films it just look silly.

A cheap way of padding out the running time and increasing the length of the action scenes.

It's really annoying when it's used to dramatise trivial stuff, such as someone walking down a road or when it's done for an arty effect.

It was great in the late 60s early 70s when people like Peckinpah and Kubrick used it but now it's a cliche.
