Yeah, I guess that's true. I don't think he'll die though. Sookie will probably convince him to take the cure, or there's another way to save him. Wouldn't surprise me. :D

Using the Chekov's Gun theory ("If a gun is introduced to the audience in the first act, it'll be relevant in the 3rd act"), I wonder which Vampire Sookie will kill.

They've said - on several occasions now - that she has this one-time power to instantly kill ANY vampire. I was guessing it would be Violet, as she seems to be the only "evil" vampire now.

My only other thought is maybe if Bill asks her to kill him, to put him out of his misery?

'Everybody' has the ability to kill a vampire in True Blood. All you need to do is wave a pointy instrument (it doesn't even need to be pointy) anywhere near a vampire and they explode into a heap of meat. This is especially true of vampire guards, who are about as powerful as a three year old child. I'm surprised they have the nerve to leave their coffins.

I don't think they will want to end it with Sookie ending up with a vampire for life. So, I think they'll either kill Bill off or somehow turn him back to being human again.

This season just keeps getting better and better. The closer we get to the end, the more I become closer to doing the stages of grief. I am currently in denial at the moment

    I really enjoyed this episode.

Nice to see Violet's demise courtesy of Hoyt. If he hadn't stepped in, things would've gotten a little too torture porn with Jason, Jessica, Adilyn and Wade.

The resolution to Tara and Lettie Mae's storyline - I'm not sure of it. It wasn't as bad as expected but I'm still hoping we get a shot of Tara in the series finale though.

Has anyone seen Willa at all? She's been gone for three episodes. Plus no Sam and Nicole in this one.

I see a Jason/Jessica/Hoyt/Bridget quadrangle being set up here. Some interesting scenes though with the characters though.

Loved Sookie being mean to Sarah. I can't really say I have any sympathy for Sarah at all. She's a problem any way you look at it.

Bill not accepting her blood was trite though, so perhaps he'll be the one to die and Sookie ends up with Eric then, 8/10

Well that didn't really feel like a penultimate episode of anything. Another limp exit which was effectively offscreen (even though we saw it, it had already happened) with Sam. Far too much time devoted to Bridget's character, even if she is designed as part of Jason's happy ending. The Yakuza thing never felt like it was going to be the big bad this season and yet suddenly it now is, when Violet, the Hep-V vamps or the crazed locals could have served equally well or even just Hep-V itself. Not a big fan of this angle. Nice to see Ginger again. Where does Arlene keep sticking the kids though?

Oh my God. Highlight of the episode? Ginger and Eric. I almost died laughing. :D

''You going to be ok?'' :D

I know I'm overreacting but if they had killed Pam I would not have watched the finale. She's one of the only reasons I've stuck with the show so long.

Jason's scenes as usual added nothing. I didn't even notice Willa was gone.

That and the pam scene saved the episode.

I pray to god the finale is worth it. After this season i expect back to back twists and suspense. None of this chatty crap with characters we dont give a toss about taking up valuable time!

I suspect it will be 50 minutes of nothing and then 5 minutes of drama then lights out.

It was so so funny. Poor Ginger, she totally deserved it. :D
No character had it so trough, she has been put down, bitten, punched, glamoured, terrorised, taken advantage of, in the whole entire series, it was the only decent thing Eric could to do.:D

The way Ginger was with Eric is how I imagine all fans would be with Eric :D

I'm at uk pace but just wanted to say ..... After the first 3 episodes I agreed with the criticism that this show doesn't represent true blood as we used to know it....it seemed all over the place, confusing and detached ... But since episode 4 it has remearkably returned to the show I loved in style, humour, wit and character story archs. It has been the return of true blood. I am now sad that it is going to end when they have returned to the formula that was great.

That Ginger and Eric scene cracked me up. I really do love some of the quirky characters on this show.

However having just watched Ep 8 & 9 back-to-back am a bit cheesed off at the way they are concluding some of the storylines, it feels rushed, not well thought through, ie Tara's. She's been one of the main characters throughout all the series and yet her story ending is in my opinion weak!

And don't even get me started on Sookie.......... :(

Brilliant episode. There's just something funny about Pam changing Sarah's hair back to blonde. As for sarah - still don't feel bad for her but Gus Jr is boring the living daylights out of me. Can he just die already?

I guess putting Sookie in the firing line will probably ensure that Gus Jr does buy it though.

Bill not taking the cure - argh, he's an idiot. At least Sookie and Jessica called him out on it.

Sam and Nicole were smart to leave town.

What has happened to Willa? Anyone know at this rate?

Nice scenes with Sookie and Arlene in this episode too as well as the ones with Jessica/James, Jessica/Hoyt and Jason/Bridget as well.

Eric and Ginger's sex scene was pretty brief and amusing.

I'm gonna miss this show but here's hoping the last episode is the send off the series deserves, 9/10

So the finale was okay, nothing special apart from the Eric/Pam/Sarah/Steve scenes, amazing as always. Especially Eric jamming out in the car :D

I felt like they spent too much time on Sookie and Bill with the will she/won't she kill him. Every scene seemed like it was Bill asking her to do it, Sookie disagreeing then agreeing then repeat. I thought Bill was actually turning human so to see she actually went through with it shocked me a little.
The wedding I felt wasn't needed or they could of spent a little less time on that.

Would of been nice for a Lafayette scene tbh or even an Eric and Sookie one.

Sad it's over as I do love True Blood but it needed to end I guess.

It was a fantastic finale in some ways
No lafayette. Apart from a brief appearance at the end. That pissed me off.
The Pam/Eric/Sarah story was brilliant and the ending to it was just Pam and Eric all over. I would not of expected any less of them to do what they did.

For the finale to focus on Sookie and Bill felt right because that is where the show began. I didn't understand why Sookie chose to stake him, but couldn't bring himself to kill him with an orb.

I expected the episode to end on a gloomy point, with a bloody Sookie walking through the graveyard. But to get a flashforward of the following 5 years to see where all the characters got up to, was satisfying. Especially for us fans. It was lovely to see Sookie had met someone else and was pregnant. She got the happiness she never got througout the seven seasons we watched her. It was interesting to see that Bill's death actually brought peace to Bom Temps. They were all happy and living life in the last scene. It was as if all the negative energy and all the evil that came to Bon temps, died with Bill.

It's been a fanatastic ride to be apart of though. While others felt the show dropped in quality in later seasons, i felt the show went from strength to strength. I will be happily buying the complete series on dvd once it is released.

I agree with most of your post but I can't agree with the BIB. I don't think it was ever meant to be interpreted that way. Whilst Bill's death did open the door for Sookie to live a life that would never have been possible with him, there are still vampires, werewolves, witches and all sorts of other crazy stuff out there and the shit will still be hitting the fan from time to time, even in Bon Temps. All the ending is saying is that life goes on, and happiness can come from finding the beauty in everyday life.

As finals go, it wasn't too bad, though this whole season has been a bit hit and miss. The whole Tara arc sort of came out of nowhere, and it would have been nice to see a little more of Willa toward the end of this Season, and also, Lafayette.

I think also it would have been ... nice to see Sookie's new husband, but then I guess we didn't need to see who that was as the point (that she found someone and became pregnant) was there. I didn't expect Bill to die though, I truly thought he'd become human again, and that he'd be the one with Sookie at the end.

All that said, it was good to see the family come together at the end. I guess also that life sucks for Sarah, and will continue to do so for a very long time.

I enjoyed it and agree that it was fitting to end with Sookie and Bill being the main focus. I also agree that it would have been nice to have seen a bit more of Lafayette. It was good too that they managed to bring back Sam and even fit Tara in, even if it was a younger actress.

Also, I got the impression that if she had used the orb on Bill she would have stopped being a fairy and that's why she changed her mind.

It needed to end. It was once a great series which only highlighted its decline in later years even more. I watched the last season, more for completion than anything, and it was BORING!

And the show's treatment of Tara was shocking. A major character (who was far more interesting than whining Sookie) to be treated with such disdain makes you wonder what exactly Rutina did to p*** off the writers!

The treatment of Tara was piss poor and that is my only hatred of season 7. For a character who had been there since the start, it was a slap in the face to fans and in my opinion, a slap in the face to the actress who had spent 6 years playing her. But i hear Rutina wasn't bothered and thought it was a great arc.

I half expected Sookie to die. I had a small feeling she would kill herself to be with Bill. Or perhaps even save Bill and become a vampire. But i am glad she never became a vampire, especially as Elena and Bella both became vampires in Twilight and Vampire diaries. But when i thought if Sookie would kill herself, i thought of Jason. I do not think she would kill herself and leave Jason alone to suffer the heartbreak and misery that Sookie herself has been through in all seven seasons. One of the key points in the show i personally think was Sookie's misery. For the show to end on her having happiness, was a true way to end Sookie's story.

I enjoyed it for what it was, I guess. I think everyone got what they wanted in the end, and that pretty much makes the finale ok for me.

I loved Pam and Eric's ending, it was perfect for them.

Not as good as I was hoping for, but it was decent enough for an end to the show.

For the finale to focus on Sookie and Bill felt right because that is where the show began. I didn't understand why Sookie chose to stake him, but couldn't bring himself to kill him with an orb.

Because using the Orb would mean she was no longer a Fairy and would be human. She was prepared to grant Bill his wish to die but not to give up who she was in doing so.

I did think they were going to go with the Orb actually making Bill human rather than killing him so they actually surprised me when they didn't.
