People are seriously comparing the panto villian TracyLuv to the wonderfully complex Janine Butcher?? What a joke.
There are a lot of similarities i must say. Janine killed Barry and went to prison - 3 years later Tracy killed Charlie and went to prison. Janine then returned briefly for a family funeral before returning full time later that year at christmas - 2 years later Tracy returned briefly for a family funeral before returning full time later that year at christmas. Both have also been on their respective shows for years and years and have each been played by a few different actresses.
So on paper they are quite similar although they are also very different, i agree that Janine is a brilliantly complex and interesting character whereas Tracy is not. As a viewer you cannot empathise with or understand Tracy on any level and for that reason Janine is a far superior character.
Thought she looked very beautiful in her wedding dress. Especiallywhen compared to Becky in her leopard print top and stilletto shoes. Only one winner there.
To be honest she should not be in the soap
She is a murderer and it is not right that corrie have a murderer as a regular character it sends out the wrong message
But she is an excellent villain though and we are not supposed to like her
