    Sling Blade (1996)

Very good movie, and not just because I'm a fan of Billy Bob Thornton:) Essentially a modernised 'Of mice and men'.

    Blue Valentine - 7.5/10

Ryan Gosling (who's surprisingly good) and Michelle Williams are a couple, and through a jumpy timeline, we see the beginning and end of their relationship.

Lots of sex scenes in it too, if that is of particular appeal to you.

The Last Picture Show - Again, I enjoyed it much more this time around (this was my second viewing of this film). I just seem to be in the right frame of mind at the moment to give these older films my full concentration.

Maybe the extended cut of the movie shows the parents pulling away in the car leaving behind the kid with that rubber toy shoved firmly down his throat. :p

I will get it 2nd hand just for the lols at 50p next year when missing records or CEX have them in..even then our charity shop had so many copies of the book, they had to send them off for recycling..Heh will probably be a hard to get cult classic in 20 years..(fnar) I should not slag it till I have seen it..my bad..

Watched Walkabout Nic Roeg..was surprisingly very good, some beautiful cinematography, I enjoyed the budgies, I am budgie mad though. although the dad bit was woah, very weird..and the begining with the mum in the kitchen was sinister, cooking recipe..shudder!

very Roeg..Jenny Agutter was great in it and I do like David Gulipilli(probably mispelt)

I watched it tipsy and weepy, after my friend had died so I found it a tad
upsetting..its one of these films I will rewatch next year!

    Tucker & Dale vs. Evil - 7/10.

Took the advice of a friend not to watch any trailers or read much about this before watching it and it paid off. For the first ten minutes I was kinda like "uhhh" but when I got the jist of what was happening, it was a fun movie.
