Whose kicking Baptism? Most/all Baptists themselves reject the idea of infant Baptism do they not?
Edit damn caught by bollys diversions again.
To answer your question, Baptists reject infant Baptism, that they consider an ordinance, not a sacrament, but they do have services presenting the child to the church.
I would be surprised if infants are not considered Christian by their Baptist parents.
I don't see bringing up Baptism as a diversion, but as an essential part of answering the question of whether an infant of Christian parents is a Christian.

Baptism is a sacrament of initiation, which brings a person into union with Christ as a member of the Catholic Church.
In this sacrament Jesus....
....makes us the sons and daughters of God
..., has shared the life of the Father, son and Holy Spirit
And
... the child is also given the power to believe
So I would say yes, in many cases it is correct to call an infant a Christian.
