So I went for 2009.
Loved Jade and Engelbert too. (Bonnie as well, to a lesser extent.)
they brought the house down more than any other UK act in the past 10 years and came a very close fifth, we will not see that again.
Touch My Fire
Children of the Universe
I Can
Meant to vote for Jade.
Dont like you meant to vote for him but became Embarressed knowbody else did
Its My Time
That Sounds Good To Me
I Can
Love Will Set You Free
Believe In Me
I assure you that's not the case
Molly topping the poll, nice to see people didn't lose faith in the song even after its poor showing.
For me its the song
Purely for the song because its one of my all time favourite UK songs and Jade was amazing during and after Eurovision
The song for me definitely. The execution was just sensational.
Bar when she was attacked by/walked into (delete as applicable) a violonist.
This is tough. I love I Can and Children of the Universe but both lost something on the night. Same with Believe in Me to an extent. Love Will Set You Free was pleasant but didn't have enough about it for Eurovision. It's My Time had a lovely melody but it was a case of lyrics by numbers. That Sounds Good To Me was the biggest faux pas in terms of title since Don't Play That Song Again though that was the least of it's problems. I can't see the BBC sending something like Teenage Life again after what's happened in the interveing period - at least in terms of staging! Touch My Fire was a desperate rip off of Turkish delights and the continent saw through it. Flying the Flag was catchy but we overdid it with the gimmicks and turned what already was a joke number into something unfunny. Even If was just dull as dishwater with the slot in the running hammering home the coffin.
So after all that I think I'm going to vote for... Children of the Universe.
I honestly think this lost her points and a top 3 finish but she was a great professional to just carry on like it never happened
I'd very very surprised if it did. I didn't notice it when it happened, and looking back on it via YouTube you'd easily miss it imo.
I find it fairly obvious to spot
