    I agree with much of that - but certainly not Katie in the final. That would be dire.

    I think a question is starting to be raised around Matt though.... he's a good performer, but has he really got star appeal..?

    I also LOVE the Radio Times blog. From this weeks:
    Performance of the night by a furlong came from Aiden, who coldly surveyed the crowd from a 12-foot steel rig as he snarled Diamonds Are Forever. The fierce, lonely nihilism of the lyric was matched by Aiden's demeanour: unmoving, clad in a villainous velvet trench coat and, as always, giving off the air of having just eaten something without killing it first. The nation's small children will, in the long run, benefit from having seen this.

    I liked that too. Even the name Aiden Grimshaw takes on an Ian Brady feel after reading that.

    We'll have to call him Hannibal Grimshaw.
