Alexis getting the treatment from their players! We'll have to wrap him in cotton wool.

Should have been a red. Akpom would have been clean through had he not been brought down.

Instead of calming it down and holding on to the ball, Chesney throws it out straight away.

Szczesny makes me constantly nervous, I hope he doesn't get the number 1 spot back.
Apart from that, not too bad a performance and we did the job in the end.

    Good win. Rosicky bossed it.

Good win in the end, if a bit nail biting when they scored twice. Got the job done though and in the pot for the next round, that's all you can ask for. :)

Just saw Theo's goal. Ooozed quality with the sweet control and finish.

He didn't do too badly today but still does things that makes you think he's no Number 1.

Not the best quality picture and the ball being pink is probably making matters worse.

HD helps :D I sat about 2 foot from the screen though.
Usual Arsenal performance back this week. Total dominance, followed by shower of a defence. Theo at least seemed aware of it (and referred to himself as LANS :p)

    I would hope so

It's only taken him 9 years - better late than never :D

Paulista deal is close apparently and according to http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-news-transfers-37million-bid-5038718
we bid for Grosskeutz - worth more than £3.7m surely?

    :D

In the interview after I thought I saw Wally clutching the bottle of Champers, that's why I asked.

Was at the game, had a great day but feel rough today.

Had bet on Walcott 1st scorer, Arsenal to win 4-2 & a 4-2 Walcott first score double, so when Ramsey missed that chance at the end he cost me a fair few quid.

From the game was great to see Walcott back in action, think a few times he could've played somebody else in but think he's a bit rusty.

Was impressed with Akpom, he looks pretty big and he was v quick! Would've liked him to start the game, Giroud looked a bit uninterested at times.

At ht thought could/should have been 4 or 5 up, second half although more exciting, was worried of an equaliser.

Good win though and hopeful of a nice draw for the next round.

    Paulista given a work permit

    http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11670/9675291/transfer-news-imminent-arsenal-arrival-gabriel-granted-work-permit-ahead-of-move

And Sky sources understand that Arsenal can now press ahead with finalising a signing believed to be worth 18m euros to the Spanish club.

That sum is worth significantly less in sterling than it would have been on 7 January, and Arsenal stand to save £700,000 on the deal, according to sources in Spain.

That may have something to do with a drop in the financial markets over concerns when the anti-austerity Syriza won the Greek general election

First of all he admits he listened to his players before changing tactics for the City game.
Now he has actually bought a decent player with a WHOLE WEEK left of the transfer window. In a position we actually needed strengthening as well.

I can't cope with all this sensibleness.

Decent draw, but we must ensure we don't suffer the same fate as Man. City haha.

Not bad at all. Could have been a PL clash with all the big teams left in the competition :D

Good news re Paulista's work permit being granted too.
