Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes (LINK)

The first film ("Rise Of The POTA") was a big, happy surprise. This 2nd film in the franchise is even better. I'm looking forward to seeing the 3rd film which has been titled "War Of The Planet Of The Apes". But that's not due until 2017.

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.

Good, but occasionally let down by poor dialogue.

    Welcome to Me [2014]

Girl wins US lottery and buys herself a reality chat show. A pi$$take on the Towie, Karkrashian, famous for being famous but no talent types. Quite good 8/10.

The Ghost Of Greville Lodge - 4/10

A homely story but I was expecting a spooky one. This made Doctor Who look like the Halloween films. The acting from the male lead was ropey for the 1st half of the film too.

    Mrs Caldicot's Cabbage War - 5/10

The opening was good, what with hearing the thoughts in Mrs Caldicot's head. The film took an age to say anything other than she is/was a downtrodden wife and I got bored.

    Big Hero 6 - 5/10

Sadly I was not impressed. I'd heard lots of positivity about this film but imo it was like an extended episode of Power Rangers and was all a bit too 'Down with the kidz' for me.

I am starting to lean towards Dreamworks when it comes to animation.

Four Rooms (1995). Panned at the time of its release, but I liked it. Tim Royh is always brilliant.

    THE SWEENEY - 8half/10
ruff 'n' tumble remake of the old geezers cop series, with king old geezer ray winstone growling away, in a rather enjoyable and funny and BRUTAL cop dramarama!

like the raw feel of it, soundtrack can be a bit oppressive though

I watched that.. I really enjoyed it.

What I found amazing was that the picture quality was so good, the kid's plastic gun was exactly like one you would buy today, Shirley McLaine played a mother and the humour was no different to today's which makes it hard to believe that this film is 60 years old :o

I noticed the picture quality too. I think it's a brilliant film. It was the second time i'd seen it and I watched it with my sister this time, but she didn't really get it. I think it's a bit of an acquired taste. I am a big Hitchcock fan :)
