Due to worst decision any website has probably taken in removing the popular Dating/Personals section from Gumtree, I am just wondering if anybody has the recent figures on this.
Gumtree was in the top 10 hitwise last year yet the website has killed the 'community' side to it, it's been amazing to see so many websites appear like Craigslist & UK based www.ozadz.com and many many more.
I personally use to meet so many people from Gumtree in fact I met my previous partners from there, yet Gumtree has now totally lost the appeal it once had.

5-10 per week when I was single the best thing it never cost me a penny
And failed.
Did you get stuck?
Perhaps people have decided to get out and meet real people, in real life. Or perhaps they have wisely decided the dating game is a waste of time, effort and money, and have decided to get a cat instead.
The Gay/Lesbian section was fine but the Women Seeking Men section was full of spam and escorts, my straight mate got lucky last month and met the girl of his dreams from Ozadz he was well chuffed he cant stop smiling
Or perhaps they have signed up to Digital Spy and are furiously sending PMs to prospective partners!;)
That would be a total waste of time you may as well find a decent free classifieds site like Ozadz.com stick a free advert up and wait for the responses via your email account. All these expensive dating sites are a waste of mone, with no guarantee you will get results
Hell no! Not as long as they keep advertising £400 motorcycles....and I keep buying them!
It's the couriers' paradise!
Find a house an dhave sex with the housemate:D
Have you seen a reduction in adverts since they removed the dating section as this was the most popular section on there, you found people looking for sex then they would look for a job or sell something
I meant in general not just dating. I know there's lots of genuine people and adverts on there but it's also a scamsters paradise.
Yes it certainly is I find the accomodation section was the worst for this, but every email was written in a certain way and was quite easy to tell it was fake, not sure how some people ended up paying thousands to these Nigerian Fraudsters
LOL thats quite a big fantasy for me
Not at all. If anything, the numbers seem to be up
I did not attempt intercourse with it.
I dont think that is the case you have just removed nearly 4 million dating visitors to the site, can you somehow prove this?
I did miss it for a week or two then I found www.ozadz.com where the layout is very much like Gumtree and is UK owned and run so I started to use that site now, and is becoming the new Gumtree got alot of replies so far
To be fair, I think a lot of men using that website actually had somewhat similar intensions...
