16 and 17-year-olds voting 71% yes.
18-24-year-olds voted 52 to 48 against independence.
25-34-year-olds voted for Independence.
65s+ voted 73% to 27% to stay in the Union.
Sorry contrarian but even in Enger-land we have access to the world wide web.
If you remove votes for over 65s Scotland voted yes so we are only one generation away from Independence
Sorry Enger-land but your wee union is on its last legs
Yougov stated that the only age group that voted yes was the 26-39 year olds all the other categories that they polled had a majority of no. The over 65s helped to make the difference as big as it was but they didn't cause the yes campaign to fail.
When I originally read the thread title I was kind of worried it'd be "One week on and..." they're already holding another poll. And another and another until they get the correct result.
i voted NO AND I WASNT CONNED. i was asked "should Scotland an independent country yes or no, it was a simple question.I know lots of NO voters and like myself they are tired of poeple like you speaking on thier behalf. its done . my own daughter voted yes. we respected each others decision. move on and stop being bitter
The Scots should accept that they are a small part of the UK, are not a special case and that now the referendum is over and done with, it is business as usual. I'm sure the government will get around to addressing Scottish matters reasonably in due course, but it isn't a top priority, nor should it be.
Yet you don't seem to know how to interpret the data on the world wide web.
* Tries to find sensible response in Google to query 'what happened in last Thursday's referendum' *
* Eventually settles for pictures of girl not quite in kilt *

Not to mention a glow because you've had a chance to run that one :):)

I missed the announcement on the UK Govt. abandoning the promise of extra powers for the Scottish Govt. When did this happen?
I also missed the discovery of 120 years of oil since last weekend.
I also missed the announcement to privatise the NHS.
I also missed the announcement of the plan to scrap the Barnett Formula.
In fact, I can't find any of these pronouncements. Did they actually happen?

My own husband voted NO too as did some of my friends. I am not bitter, just sickened

No need to apologize. I can't wait for you to get independence.

Nothing at all. But last time I looked, Scotland wasn't "shackled" to Amsterdam.
Good rhetoric Einstein!

Unless you have an alternative interpretation?

Did 35-64 year olds not vote then? You posted the stats...
I've been saving it for a while.
big score
The over 55s narrowly voted no though so you may have longer than a generation to wait to be rid of us and our inferior statistical analysis skills.
No, it's all true
Amen to that
I voted No. No one conned me. Case dismissed.
My own husband voted NO too as did some of my friends. I am not bitter, just sickened
Time's on my side.
I don't know about anybody else, but I for one are completely swayed by the irrefutable evidence you have provided to back up your claims.
