Yes, they are, but that's not entirely true about the walkovers. A few years ago a player I had never heard of who resembled someone from Eastenders very nearly beat Roger Federer on Centre Court on the very first day. ;) Of course Roger managed to win.

I can not wait! ;)

I think they should have two matches from each tour every day on Centre Court. But the late start (always been a mystery to me that one) seems to hinder that.

Does the BBC have to do one of these daft arty films where an actor reads some poetry or something for every sporting event?

Women's doubles is also on the schedule for today, I thought that odd when i saw it.

Venus and Serena are playing doubles together :)

They are defending Olympic champions but not sure if they will get to play doubles at the Olympics

I've come to the conclusion that Wimby should stop that, they're the only Slam that makes the men play 5 sets.

      It seems very pointless

Maybe they just want to start all the events in case of bad weather?

Nice to see V&S back! Hope they are fit enough to play well.

Ha ha at Tim's attempts to downplay his incident

Yep - are you new to watching Wimbledon? :) They do this every year - huge build up. I don't actually mind to be honest as I like listening to banter from the likes of Mac and Becker (when they eventually find him).

Is this the first time you have watched? This always happens - especially on the very first day.

Agnieszka is not being at all troubled by Rybarikova.

Venus on after this, she has to be at her very best if she is to match Aga in the next round (that's if she beats Elena)

I know. It's like the BBC are a parody of themselves these days.
