Supports my view of the worst two Bond films (Octopussy & View to a Kill) though I don't know why they have included the original Casino Royale which is a spoof.

Or Never Say Never again which isn't an official Bond.

AVTAK is far too low on that list, it should be above Octopussy, Golden Gun, Tomorrow Never Dies, Die Another Day and Thunderball IMO

    In my order of awfulness;

    - The Man with the Golden Gun

TMwtGG is the worst. It's the only Bond film I can think of that is deeply
boring for most of its run.

... and capped off with THE worst Bond song ever. Always have to delete the godawful Lulu track, whenever I buy the updated Bond songs album.

Die Another Day is atrocious. Terrible script, bad CGI, invisible car, Madonna cameo, Halle Berry stinking up the place, that robotic suit thing. It's easily the worst Bond film ever made.

The Man With the Golden Gun comes a close second. A complete mess of a film.

Moonraker is another one I refuse to watch. So many things wrong with it, but its main crime is that it's just really dull.

Quantum of Solace gave me a headache in the cinema; too much shaky-cam and rapid editing. It just looks like a Bourne rip-off. However, I will admit to having a soft spot for Octopussy and A View To A Kill.

I have to say, the opening credit roll of Die Another Day is odd and brutal enough to be memorable. Probably not in a good way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-1HaEqDIdw

My favourite is the one for Casino Royale (2006). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1AMUmkj-ck

Least favourite? Probably the one for A View to Kill: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmMIgIygzdA So daft.

I always thought that the consensus was the Man With The Golden Gun was the worst but I always have a bit of a soft spot for it because it was the first one I ever saw, when I was about 7 or 8. A lot of the Roger Moore ones had very stupid moments though. That bloody Lulu song was horrific though! :p

Die Another Day was very stupid and Quantum of Solace was just dull dull dull.

Bad though DAD was, it was partly redeemed by a couple of things; Rosamund Pike looking lovely in her white get-out, the fencing sequence, the opening credits and the laser themed plot. As a fan of the slightly more SF Bonds (Spy / Moonraker etc), this hit just enough of the "whacky" marks to be enjoyable.

Brosnan's worst for me was always TWINE. Boring & overly earnest plot, villains, miscast henchman, never ending pre-title credits, forced action scenes (helicopters with razor things) and Dr Christmas Jones. Jeez.

I wouldn't say any of them are bad , but the ones I watch least are For Your Eyes Only , I know it was trying to re-establish a more realistic Bond but it's kinda dull much of the time , and (and I know I'm not supposed to say this because amongst hardcore fans its one of the faves ) - From Russia with Love , it doesn't do a lot for me , Dr. No seemed far better , and when I was a kid I always thought From Russia was the first movie 'cos it looks so much more old fashioned than Dr. No , it looks like it was made in he 50's .

    .

"From Russia with Love" was one of the more faithful adaptations. Given that the book is set July to August 1954 it should look like the 1950s.

Absolutely detested the Brosnan interpretation that became a mockery of itself hammering the last but one nail in the coffin before Daniel Craig came along.

I'm in a minority as one of my favourite two was a Licence To Kill. Most faithful interpretation of Bond apparently was Dalton. Living Daylights was boring but Licence To Kill was a back to basics Bond stripped back without the gadgets, cheesy one-liners and plain old revenge for an attack on Bond's best buddy, Felix.

The other was Live And Let Die. Right from the first minute of the Mardi Gras funeral parade kicking into McCartneys titular song it had me hooked. Great baddies, great one-liners delivered brilliantly by Moore's tongue in cheek interpretation when he passed as Bond and a great section around the boat chase with J W Pepper.

Moore's best was The Spy Who Loved Me without a doubt.

Watched Dr. No this morning and From Russia With Love is on later this afternoon. The first two and probably the best two in my opinion.

Moonraker is the worst for me, utterly cringeworthy, and unforgivably ruined one of the great Bond villains with the daft and vomit-inducing Jaws/Dolly romance. Moore is an appalling actor as well, which doesn't help matters.

Has anyone said Licence to Kill yet?
Dalton was in my mind the best Bond, but that film was really haphazard in places.
Apart from that, Die Another Day, Quantum of Solace and Skyfall are my least favourite, sorry Daniel Craig fans.

    Quantum of Solace

Rubbish script, rubbish villain, Bond acting like a gurning psychopath, no "emotional link" to Casino Royale, generic action set-pieces, terrible editing, Bond leaping from country to country for no obvious reason, oh and the supposedly gritty and "realistic" Bond can apparently rip off door handles with his bare hands. Do me a favour! As Mark Kermode said, "if it wasn't James Bond in these action sequences, this would be a Jason Statham movie".

At least the weaker films of the "classic" series owned their nonsense. But the Craig films are so desperate to be taken seriously as "arty" flicks, in which case we should hold them to a higher standard.

But then again, I like Roger Moore, so what would I know?

Agreed. In fact I'd say the first three (Dr No, From Russia With Love. Goldfinger) are flawless. On Her Majesty's Secret Service too; it doesn't often receive the recognition it deserves but it is just as good, if not better, than the original three movies.

OHMSS was the best one up to that point and there's a strong argument that it's the best one of all-time. The first three are excellent.

I would certainly argue OHMSS is the best Bond ever made. There's something about the cinematography, editing, lighting, score, script and cast that makes it stand out from the rest. It's a true masterpiece.

Die Another Day, but I guess without that being so OTT we might have been denied the reboot.

Hate them when they turn Bond into a killer just killing everybody and going on a revenge mission. Like Daltons Licence to kill and Die another day...just shoot ups and killing, no real story

I liked Goldeneye, but wasnt as keen on the songs used for TND and TWINE.
The closing song for TND by kd lang is FAR better than the opening song (Sheryl Crow) IMO, they should have used that :)

The ski chase is awesome, even now. I don't much care for the rest of it though.

A Quantum of Solace ( just not like a Bond movie)
    Die Another Day
The Man with the Golden Gun

    And in that order.

    I would go with those.

Also not too keen on Octopussy (and Jaws being turned into a good guy in Moonraker)
