I am considering replacing my DMR-EH60 with a DMR-BWT735 or DMR-BWT740 but need reassurance about the HDMI output.

A present the old machine feeds the TV and a projector (Composite and SCART). Does anyone have experience splitting the HDMI from either of these two models?

The recorder only has one HDMI output I believe. You would need to buy an external HDMI splitter.

You could start with a basic, cheap splitter such as this:
    http://www.cableuniverse.co.uk/hdmi-splitter-cable.html?language=en&currency=GBP

At such a low price It's not going to break the bank, and if it has problems feeding two devices for some reason, it's not much money to lose.

If you experience problems with it, it may be that a powered splitter is required, so something like this:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Neet%C2%AE-SPLITTER-Amplifier-Display-Shipping-BLACK/dp/B001D9P1OW

The second devices would allow you to use longer cable lengths etc., so it would depend where the recorder is situated in relation to your projector and TV.

Thanks for the response. I am aware of the availability of HDMI Splitters and indeed have one. Before shelling out circa £450 for a DMR-BWT740 I asked Panasonic technical help line about this and they came back with "Not recommended". I was looking to see if any forum members had used one with a Panny.
