Laptop keyboard not working

Hi guys

I have Windows 8 and I am fine logging in but after that the keyboard doesn't work.

I've checked in Control Panel and the drivers are up to date, I've looked around the Web and can't find any useful advice.

Is this a common problem? And more importantly, does anyone know how to fix it?

Any advice really appreciated.

    That's brilliant - thank you. I had searched around but hadn't seen that page.

    I don't use DS half as much as I used to - and it's forums do get a lot of (well-deserved) criticism - but everyone time I've asked for advice someone always comes up trumps.

    Those of us who post in the PC forum are OK, it's just the rest who are idiots ;-)
