Tales of Survival?
Can anyone recommend some well-written survival type books? Either biographies or autobiography types, although I would consider novels too.
Recently I've re-read Aaron Ralston's 127 Hours, and Piers Paul Read's Alive, Nando Parrado's autobiog of the Alive story, and watched the Branagh Shackleton drama, and I'd like to read some more in a similar vein. If I google, there are loads, and it's impossible to choose, so I'm looking for something that someone can recommend!
I'm thinking - desert/jungle/mountains/wilderness, that sort of thing.

Filmed as 'The Way Back' and turned into an okay
but not great film, with a changed ending!
Allegedly a true story of a russian 'gulag' esacpe
where the escapers walked all the way to India!
