Wow some warped ideas on here lol. I don't like pubes so they go. My choice and I don't give a toss what other people think. My body so I do what i please with it :D

Yeah but, yeah but, if you mess up your body, why should the NHS sort out a self-inflicted problem?

I would imagine Glitterbug uses a bic not a blowlamp.

I hate pubes so whip them off a couple of times a week with a razor (and no rash!). I've never had any complaints from boyfriends :D

You're painting pictures with words :)

    Infection can occur after shaving.

Could you expand on this please?

I like it anyway really - variety is the spice of life...if a woman likes a full lady garden rather than a patio it's up to her.

This Gruniad column had some interesting comments:

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2012/aug/07/pubic-hair-has-job-stop-shaving

Drs have seen more ingrowing hairs and infections over the past few years.

Also, pubic lice are nearing extinction due to the proliferation of depilation to the point that experts in the field are asking if anyoe gets them to get in touch so they can get some samples...well that's their story and they are sticking to it (most of that sentence is true).

Hell, you could say that about most DIY accidents...a proper risk assement and method statement would avoid most accidents in the home.

All that crap about God creating woman from Adam!! No, it was a bloke shaving his tackle after a few magic mushrooms. Everything gone, and all that was left was a nasty gash.

My other half shaves his nether regions because he thinks its more hygienic. Its a personal choice whether you shave or not imho.

I'm suspicious of people who say they're suspicious. The lady doth protest too much and all that.

Haha, agree. They obviously have it on their minds all the time. A real man just says what he prefers. There is no shame in preferring one or the other on a grown woman.

Tbh I find the bald look down there a bit disturbing and rather odd. Nicely trimmed is the best way to go but each to their own.

Imo if someone is so heavily influenced by the current porn look that they feel the need to appear like plucked chicken then I would wonder about their strength of character.

I don't shave mine, but I believe it makes it 'appear' bigger.. I've never had any complaints.

I'll trim - it does enhance the perception ;) but, having had to shave myself fully for 'the snip' I'd never ever ever want to do that again.

Mrs #1 keeps things neat, but I wouldn't want her to go any further. Completely shaved just looks wrong to me

(Others may have a different view)

I think you will find that shaving isn't a modern thing; it is very much a fashionable thing that simple goes in and out of fashion...the 70s were definitely the decade of the full lady garden and then shaving became something 'new'...centuries ago,in art, the shaved pudenda was the in thing. Very soon the full bushy look will come back as it will be something 'new'.

Trimmed is best IMO. The bald look is awful, especially on men.

All shaved off...for both men and women, I don't like a mouth full of c**ksprings thanks, and stubble is just itchy.

I don't get the peado angle though, I've never once seen woman be shaved down there wearing 'my little pony' knickers and her hair in pigtails etc, a shaved fufu doesn't make them look 5 years old. Same thing as blokes who keep it all neat and trim down there, plus it makes it look bigger ;)

Thats actually very true. Rubens isn't known for his depictions of full lady gardens is he. The ladies in his images although "robust" were also generally hairless. Much european art depicted women (and men) in this way.

Shaving pubic hair isn't a new thing either.

That is the reason prostitutes used to shave in the past, to prevent becoming infected with pubic lice.

Whilst I've never shaven, too much hair all over, if the person shaved looks like a "plucked chicken" they aren't doing it correctly. There is no reason at all to look like that.

As for being influenced by "the current porn look", that is nonsense. I've been a naturist for over 30 years and within naturism shaving has been popular for a very long time, certainly well before the look became popular in porn films.

The same with this view that shaving makes a woman look like a child. As a naturist I have seen thousands of naked girls and women of all ages and I have yet to mistake one woman for a pre-pubescent girl. Their physical shape is completely different.

For me it is entirely up to the individual, the "look" doesn't bother me either way as I have friends who choose to shave and friends who don't, it is their friendship that is more important to me
