Twins chat about their songwriting and what might be on their set list for Guilfest with Eagle radio.

The songwriting bit is really interesting.

That was a really good interview! We need more like that one!

I can't wait to see them on Saturday, and I'm pretty excited about the album :)

I wanna hear more about the songwriting and producing!!!

I am kinda nervous about Saturday, first weather forecast is burning sunshine the next epic thunderstorms. I have Irish complexion and a heavy wheelchair! Too much sunshine and too much rain equally bad for different reasons!

Hopefully it'll just even out to be a bit over cast. Perfect!

Yesterday was 4 years since "Planet Jedward" came out. I for one am VERY happy that the Twins no longer have to sing covers of other people's songs, that they don't even have to sing songs they've bought from other people - they're quite capable of writing their own, thank you very much, and they're damn good at it too :) I am also very glad that, by separating themselves from their former management they have the creative freedom to do what they want, when they want, how they want. They aren't made to do some "reality" tv show, or some panel or "comedy" show that totally mocks them (what is it with 8/10 cats btw...) - they are free to show how talented they ACTUALLY are. So - yes - 4 years since Planet Jedward came out. They are worlds away from that album! Also like that they have taken the time to polish their new album, unlike Planet Jedward, which was so very obviously a rush job to capitalise on their fame. Clearly their former management didn't count on them actually being so talented and driven :)

But if people want to celebrate the fact that it's 4 years since Jedward's first album was released, and reminisce about what an exciting time it was for fans AND the twins, then that's OK too isn't it?

Well of course! It's just my opinion...and I never ever expect everyone to agree with me :)

Jedward announce a concert to kick off their fourth album promotional blitz http://t.co/lzC3V5JTEi

It is a Castlebar date, probably October, there was a web page, but it seems to have been taken down. So when is technically yet to he announced.

I feel I missed out on loads of the excitement of Planet Jedward album cuz I couldn't make it to any of the signings.

But at the time we were happy for an album, any album. many were disappointed about Nigel Wrong and it being a load of covers, but that post x factor marketing window is narrow it was the right decision.

But glad they have the guts to follow their instincts and have a go at the song writing. They have defo evolved.

I missed the excitement of Planet Jedward too, because I wasn't around, but I can imagine it was exciting for everyone, and it's fine to celebrate it, it was the start of the twins recording career.

But as an album it's not my favourite and I'm very happy to see them evolve. They've come a long way and that's lovely to see :)

Well guilfest was fab! They did more songs than expected.
Great to see everyone, sorry I got too tired to chat much.

Interestingly they pulled in quite a crowd but lost a few of them during the two acoustic songs.

Interesting the front of their stage filled up with 15_20 odd photographers that disappeared when they were finished.

I was standing a fair way back in amongst the non-fans with my friend Pat "Granny Pat" Cashin. When the compere announced that Jedward were coming on next, the group of people in front of us groaned and said "time to go for a drink" etc. I would have kept quiet but Pat immediately weighed in telling them how brilliant Jedward are and how they would miss a treat if they left. They couldn't believe we had come "all the way from Hampshire and Dorset" just to see Jedward. They also asked the standard question "What do they do exactly?"

They decided to stay (just to humour us I think) and at the end they turned round and told that they had a complete change of heart and couldn't believe how good they were!

There were a lot of people around us who were obviously typical festival goers and they all looked like they were having a good time, so it was a great success for the boys.

Like River, I noticed that some people drifted off during the acoustic set. I wonder if the twins noticed, and if so what they will take away from that?

Get Surrey's reviews are a bit of a mixed bag - James Chapple's one (previous page) was quite good compared to some...for some reason they seem to have seen a completely different audience to me, taking the whole "the kids love em" stance...have a read and see what you think:

    http://www.getsurrey.co.uk/whats-on/music-nightlife-news/jedward-good-time-guide-stage-7460162

The Guide 2 Surrey review is a nice piece, and that has nothing to do with the fact they included one of my tweets at the end haha! http://www.theguide2surrey.com/Guilfest/Latest-News/July-2014/Saturday-Reigns-at-GuilFest/

Have we also seen this interview? http://youtu.be/CnctrOTDHEI
