As much as we all love Les Mes, give us a break. Lazy, lazy boys.

I was undecided, but I'm backing Jack Pack with my vote.

Loved them & now I finally get all the grief Russell Crow got. I knew nothing of Les Mis till I saw the film & thought he was fine.. Now I know how that song was meant to be sung!

BIB - Do we? I don't. No doubt they can sing (apart from the small one who sang a line or two solo in the middle of the song) but, for a group of very young guys, by God they're dreary.

I think they are great, but I agree, I wish they had done something else.

Jack Pack also did their audition song.

Les Miserables gives them good material.

:o:o - like a dagger to my Les Mis loving heart! Philip Quast is how that song is meant to be sung - get thyself to Youtube.

(singing showtunes in a boyband style doesn't work for me. And I love a showtune)

Aw, don't be sorry - I was joking with you :)

(Norm Lewis' version is also fabulous, if you're doing some Les Mis looking )

    Eh?

    South pacific
    Sound of music
    Show boat
    Carousel
    West side story
    Oklahoma
    The king and I
    Oliver

I'm sure you could find some good ones in there.

Even I Am What I Am from La Cage Aux Folles.

It really is not meant to be sung like this at all. They had the tone completely wrong in the final, the character is on the road to killing himself.

There is no smiling whatsoever in it. It's the last song in the world you smile through.

Les Mis recently had a film out so would probably be more known to a younger auidence

Disappointing. They are very good, but surely they they can do some other songs. No attempt whatsoever to push themselves.

So is Michael McCarthy's version but that does not detract from the way Collabro sang it, in my opinion...

I've just watched their audition, hadn't seen it before now. That was terrific, so much better with the tone and mood of the song.

Philip Quast is the ultimate Javert. He doesn't just sin g it great. He acts it as well.

When these lads sing at the Royal Command Performance I would like to hear the full version.

I get it now but I did enjoy their version. I liked the oomph that Russell lacked!

Sorry, I disagree completely. Collabro do not have operatic type voices, Il Divo do.

All of Il Divo, except Sebastian have been classically trained. There is no comparison between the two groups in my opinion.
