It was tmz who broke Michael Jackson being dead, interesting if they've got this wrong- because if so they just killed their website; but it's reasonable to assume they've got cops on the payroll so it'd be one hell of a **** up.
It would be odd if he was dead especially considering that on Friday there were reports of his death after a facebook page was made according to MediaMass. The "about" section was identical to the one who started the Geraldine Chaplin death hoax. According to MediaMass, his representative said those hoaxes were fake. So I guess it could be true.
Edit: MediaMass are now reporting that his death has been confirmed

"Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker has died, Deadline has confirmed. He was 40. TMZ first reported Walker’s death in a car crash in Southern California. Walker was reportedly killed in a fatal collision when the vehicle he was in collided into a tree in Santa Clarita, California. Walker first came to prominence in the Gary Ross film Pleasantville. Then came Varsity Blues and shortly after, 2001′s The Fast And The Furious. Walker starred again in sequel 2 Fast 2 Furious and returned for the franchise’s fourth, fifth, and sixth installments. Fast & Furious 7 is currently in production with James Wan directing and is set to be released July 11, 2014."
General Facebook/twitter consensus is that it's a hoax. Apparently his representatives have confirmed he is alive and well.
The Mediamass announcement that Walker's death was a hoax was published the day before the first car crash report. Could be bad timing. Or lucky timing for that Mediamass site.
So at the moment, no one really knows if he had indeed died.

Oh, no. Sorry to hear that it's confirmed.
Yeah, it seems that a death hoax went around the day before his actual death, which is what his representative said was false. Seems like it was an incredible coincidence

Partly. They knew where he would be and what he would be doing, so made up the hoax based on that.
Just heard about this and feel absolutely gutted. The first DVD I ever bought was The Fast & The Furious. And I remained a fan of the series ever since.
Such a strange thing that he died in a car as he was famous mostly due to his role in FATF. I have loved him as an actor since seeing him in She's All That
What horrible, shocking news to wake up to! Only 40! I'd never really followed the Fast and Furious movies up to this year, when I loved Fast 6 and watched the rest of them. Any futures ones will now have a big Paul Walker hole in them. So, so tragic. Just a little speechless.
This indeed is sad news, I just heard about it (Dad told me; was on the Radio). Naturally I searched the web to find out whether it was true, and to my shock, it was.
One thing's certain, if they continue the Fast & Furious franchise (and that's a big if) it ain't going to be the same. I don't see how his character can be replaced by anyone else, and I can't see them doing another film without him.
It's a sad day though, for both families of the driver, and Walker.
so shocked to hear this tragic news. only a few weeks ago i was watching Running Scared which is one of his best movies outside the fast and furious films.
I wonder how this will affect Fast and Furious 7's filming depending on how much Paul had already filmed.
This is now being formally reported by the BBC so this shocking and tragic news must be true:
Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker dies in California car crash US actor Paul Walker, who starred in the Fast & Furious series of action films, has been killed in a car crash in California. Walker, 40, was a passenger in a Porsche sports car driven by a friend - who also died - when it crashed north of Los Angeles. Walker was said to be attending a charity event at the time. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-25173331 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-25174092
Having seen pictures of the car wreck, I don't see how anyone could have survived that. Condolences to all the relatives concerned.

Edit:
Oh, his friend was killed as well. Walker was his passenger. Condolences to the friend's family, too.

RIP Paul.
My favourite Paul Walker film was the great crime thriller Running Scared. Worth seeking out.
