Signing Up To PSN

For over a week now i've been trying to sign up to PSN, but everytime I get a screen saying the servers are temporarily down for maintenance.

I suspect i'm doing something wrong, but can't see how I am. I'm going to the playstation website and clicking the 'sign up' link in the top right corner of the screen, Am I doing something wrong, or are Sony rubbish?

    Just sign up through your PS3. The website for signing up to PSN has been down ever since PSN was hacked months ago.

    Actually, Sony have stopped the signups via a webpage. You can only sign up via your console now.

    There you go then OP, you will need to do it through your PS3 anyway. ;)
