Joe welcome to the show my boy. You are possibly one of the most interesting contestants that have ever graced the X Factor Stage. You at times are a very intense singer and can look a bit awkward when you are performing, but that is all part of the allure of you. I think that was a great performance specifically the first section of the song. I love your vocal style Joe and hope I can continue to work with you.
Joe Cox
Joe, every time i listen to you my heart melts, you just really know what you’re doing and I’ll have to say that although I thought your mentor could’ve had picked a slightly more indie-like song for you instead of this one, it was one of the best performances of the night and if you’re send the right direction this competition, great things are awaiting you, well done.
Stunning performance! You have a great voice, one of the best in the competition and that performance you just gave was amazing! You delivered tonight and your vocals were awe inspiring!
Well done Leanne. I have to say this to and its that I am in love with you and your voice. You have the potential to be exceptional in this competition with the right song choices. The only thing I thought let you down on that performance was the fact that you didn’t get to show us the full power in your voice. When you open up and let the power of your voice shine, it is really special, but it was a good performance.
Leanne Robinson
This is one of my favourite songs and you’re one of my favourite acts within the competition… but I felt a little bit underwhelmed. I wished you would’ve come out here and shine, take the whole stage and dance, just… do the whole package and sing a song we would’ve said ‘’WOW, BOOM!’’ about. This for me just supports your underdog-role in this competition and I don’t know if it was enough to keep you save, to be quite honest.
Leanne, welcome to the competition! I was a big fan of yours on the show and I was gutted you didn't make it past judges houses, let's hope you do better here! I was really surprised by that, Leanne. I thought you were also going to be doing a dance song, but I'm glad you weren't. The song showed off your astonishing vocals perfectly, it was beautiful! I hope you get through. Vote Leanne!
Kitty Brucknell
Kitty, you really did the song justice with this performance, for me it showed you really want to be here and I’m starting to worry for my own acts more after this performance, to tell you the truth. I’m just hoping your mentor will give you the right songs the upcoming ways, and if so, I think we could be looking at you in the finals, if you keep continuing songs like this one.
What a strange song choice? I'm not sure if that song reached number one but correct me if i am wrong. It just didnt work, i am afraid. Your vocals do not suit that song and should not go anywhere near it. I dont know what your mentor was thinking with this song choice, but it didnt work.
Welcome to the stage Kitty. That was one of the best performances from tonight’s show. Kitty your vocals were so hauntingly stunning tonight. This version of Shakespeare’s Sister’s song was a perfect fit to you. Your stage presence is absolutely huge. At times even though you like a big production on stage with you, the fact you stood on that stage tonight and just sang with nothing else on the stage is a credit to you and your talent. Let’s hope everyone loved it and we get you through to the next show.
Hey Kitty, welcome to the show! I am a huge fan! When I seen that was what you were singing, if I'm honest I thought it would not be good. But, after listening to it, you've changed my opinion! I can see what the judge was trying to do, I'm not sure the other judges will agree, but who cares! I'll see you next week I hope!
I had doubts when i saw you were singing this song, but you just turned them around! The song choice was great, your vocals were great and it was a solid performance for your first live show! I think that you do have some improvements to do but a great first performance!
Well done ladies. I think this group has a real chance at progressing far into this competition. At times during the performance, you can see that you girls are still developing as a group. But I think you girls really delivered tonight. I have to admit I am excited to see your progression and watch you girls come together more and develop the harmonies. When you girls get the harmonies watertight you could become a real contender.
Belle Amie
I have an mixed opinion about this performance, I liked it because it fits you guys and it’s a beautiful song, but on the other hand I felt like this was just the song we would expect from you girls and it was just a little bit predictable. My advice for you girls is to really show how versatile you are: sing ballads, rock, up-tempo, jazz, it doesn’t matter, but don’t stick to the same sort slow, ballad-like song, because otherwise the public will get bored pretty soon.
Welcome to the competition, Belle Amie! I had knew when I picked that song I could rely on you to pull it off! You nailed it tonight, girls, incredible for your first performance. Vote Belle Amie!
Good comments overall and some advice for Belle Amie, will find out if they'll take it on board if they're through.
Round the block one more time with the 2012 class, taking on a cover of another one of our acts's songs, it's Jake Quickenden! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18mEfjRfFpM
You are an amazing singer and performer! Just now you showed everyone that your vocals are great and that you can have a fun time while performing! You delivered tonight and i hope that the judges and viewers give you a chance tonight!
Jake Quickenden
Jake, this was just the sort of performance I wanted from you – it suits you and for me I felt like I was watching you perform on your sold-out concert, it just felt natural. I don’t think you’re in danger after tonight.
Jake I am going to be honest and say as I am sure both you and your mentor will agree that you don’t have the strongest voice in the competition. I love the song choice and I think your mentor has worked hard with you to find the perfect song and I think you have done a great job tonight. I cant wait to see what else you can deliver with in the coming weeks.
Hey, Jake. To be quite honest, I thought again that the vocals were fine, but a worry I have is that you could be another one to all under the radar. The arrangement to be honest was quite boring, I'm sorry to say. If you get through, I would like to see you singing uptempo.

Back to 2011 again and taking on one of our other act's songs, it's DS's own Kitty Brucknell!
