Yahoo mail display problem.

When I click on an email, to open it, it does that, but a 2" strip appears at the bottom of the screen, hiding some of the email, and the options at the top of the email box - delete, move, etc. - disappear. At the bottom, on the left hand side of the screen, there is a little logo which, if I click it, turns the entire screen white with an envelope in the middle of it. Then I click the screen and it goes back to normal. Anyone else experienced this? Just wanteed to check before I do a system restore. I run W7. Google chrome. Thanks.
btw, my btinternet account is fine. The problem does, therefore, seem to be with yahoo.
Clicking on the icon, which displays thumbnails at the bottom of the screen, I think itis something to do with flickr. I think I will remove the program. Can't remove it - don't have it installed! Apparently it is a photostream, by someone called Max Ma? Anyone heard of him? And know how I can get rid of it? Thanks again.
