Top 25 X Factor Performances of ALL TIME

I've seen on other site's Top 25 performances for shows such as Idol, but never for the X Factor, so I have made my own. I made my selections based not solely on vocal performance but also star making moments - acts like One Direction would never make the list based on 25 best ever vocals, but undoubtedly they had star making performances. The rules are only one performance per contestant and no performances from auditions/judges houses - someone like Ella Henderson would appear considerably higher on the list if these had been included.
I went through every seasons list of performances to remind myself of stand outs from years ago and some performances from lesser known names - Rachel Adedji - and winners - Leon Jackson - just missed the cut. I've gone back and forth on my choices but I think I'm pretty happy with it. Add your comments or your own lists below.

25. Ella Henderson – Rule the World
24. Ben Mills – With a little help from my friends
23. Brenda Edwards – I’ll never love this way again
22. Treyc Cohen – One
21. JLS – Umbrella
20. One Direction – Your Song
19. James Arthur – The Power of Love
18. Little Mix – Don’t Let Go
17. Amelia Lily – The Show Must Go On
16. Katie Waissel – Help
15. Mary Byrne – This is a man’s world
14. Diana Vickers – With Or Without You
13. Danyl Johnson – I didn’t know my own strength
12. Rachel Hylton – Feelin Good
11. Misha B – Who you are
10. Cher Lloyd – Stay
9. Rebecca Ferguson – Make you feel my love
8. Laura White – God Bless The Child
7. Matt Cardle – First Time Ever I Saw Your Face
6. Joe McElderry – Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me
5. Aiden Grimshaw – Mad World
4. Shayne Ward – Somewhere over the rainbow
3. Leona Lewis – Somewhere over the rainbow
2. Ruth Lorenzo – Purple Rain
1. Alexandra Burke – Hallelujah

I don't remember a lot of the performances from the live shows, certainly not ones that happened years ago, but one I did like from last series was when Nicholas McDonald sang Someone Like You.

Have to say Matt Cardle's version of First Time Ever I saw your face still sends a shiver down my spine - so emotional and powerful at the same time.

Leona Lewis - Summertime - excellent obviously a winner from the first live show

Rhydian Roberts - Phantom of the Opera - amazing and world class

Listen - Alexandra Burke - I think her version was just as good as Beyonce

James Arthur - Let's get it on - another winner with this classic

Ruth Lorenzo - Purple Rain - world class

Amelia Lilley - Show must go on - should never have been put out in first live show

    Olly Murs - Superstitious

Another vote for Ruth's Purple Rain.

Matt Cardle Knights in White Satin.

Olly Murs Fool in Love - probably the most surprising song choice that worked really well.

Shayne Ward Cry me a river - I always thought he was undervalued as a winner.

    Stacey Solomon's audition Wonderful world.
