I regularly get headaches, so I take something for them almost every other day.

Just taken my daily medication as well as hayfever tablets and painkillers and was wondering if I take an above average amount of tablets.

I have five that I take regularly (daily) which are prescribed, and I have had three additional over the counter ones today.

Sometimes I take vitamins - three more tablets

    What about you?

About three months ag I was on

    Tramadol
    Warfarin
    Morphine
    Paracetamol
    Lansoprazole
    Predisnolon e
    Infliximab

    Yep that's about it

    Now just warfarin

I've got 3 fractured bones in my foot so I'm currently on 11 prescribed. Don't think I'd cope without them

My now departed mother in law was obsessed with her tablets and appeared to be very proud of the amount that she was taking. She had a pill for everything and I'm sure most were simple placebos prescribed to humour her. When meeting people, her first question to them was what tablets were they taking and what for. It made me vow never to ask such a question of anyone,or to answer if anyone ever asked me the same question.

My gran was the same - her favourite topic of conversation was her various illnesses and operations, her pills, and how she was far more unwell than all her elderly neighbours. Poor love, my mum always said it was because the only time she got attention from grandpa was when she was poorly, and she never got out of the habit.

She wasn't that ill, she lived to be 97!

I have to take 19 prescribed pills a day, plus using inhalers for my asthma and painkillers as and when I need them.

I also have to take another 6 on a Monday, another 2 on a Thursday and another 1 on a Friday.

I don't like having to take so many, but have to do so or I am very unwell.

Methotrexate. I hate it but went back onto it again recently.

I take it all in one weekly go, rather than daily.

Snap! I take 10 tablets on a Saturday and a folic acid supplement the other days. I also take a contraceptive pill. Plus cod liver oil for my joints. I occasionally take painkillers for headaches and period cramps.
