feeling sad on the eve of Mothers Day

It's bittersweet.
I'm 36 and have two gorgeous daughters aged 9 and 7.
I haven't spoken to my Mother (and she hasn't contacted me) since October last year.
See my thread back then:

I haven't sent anything for Mothers Day because my heart just wasn't in it and I'm sick of constantly trying to win her approval but getting nothing in return.
Any wise words of advice from anyone greatly appreciated
Melissa

I know it's a bit late to post anything that may be useful but I just wanted to let you know that I hope you enjoyed your mothers day with your little girls without worrying about your mother who I think sounds a bit unworthy of your time. I know she is not of a young age and you don't know what is around the corner but from what I have read on your thread it seems like you have done all the trying you can do. Sometimes it is just best to think about you, maintain your relatonship with your sister (the one that is bullied by your mum and other sister) and carry on with your life, putting your daughters first xx
