If anyone fancies a good bet for this, have a little bit on Jo Pavey. She is massive odds, but her story tonight will touch many hearts, and her popularity will grow massively during the show. Her odds are far too big

Can't see it myself, however have just put a tenner on at evens for her to finish in the top three.

Nah, it'll be Rory Mcilroy or tax exile Lewis Hamilton.

It rarely goes to the most deserving winner, usually the ones with the biggest fanbase.

Whether you agree with his 'tax arrangements' or not Lewis Hamilton deserves a lot of credit for what he did this year

Yes he had a great car but he did some fantastic driving to win that championship

I don't really mind who wins the main award but I hope Claudia Fragapane wins Young Sports Personality.:)

    Dullest programme of the year...

Let's all blow some smoke up people's arses. The real heroes have served in Afghanistan and Iraq.

She may get third but no way will she beat McIlroy/Hamilton.

This doesn't normally clash with the X Factor Final does it?

I'd love for Max Whitlock to win but he's not well known enough. Obviously going to be Hamilton or McIlroy.

I agree. I'd like to see her get third. She had one of the best personal stories of the year.

Don't know. I have zero interest in X Factor but I would have thought that it and SPOTY would have very different audiences.

If you mean the band, I'm guessing at Jim Kerr and Simple Minds.

I don't claim to be big Simple Minds fan or anything, but now I'm looking at it, I can't think of any better song to put the opening montage to.
