Frank Week - EastEnders - 31/03/08 - News Of A Death Hits The Square
Peggy's feeling aggrieved that Pat let everyone believe she was dying when really she's planning on moving away to Spain. Peggy suspects that a man's involved, but Pat's not giving anything away. Pat's later surprised when Peggy suggests that they go away for the weekend, just the two of them – she was supposed to be going away with Aunt Sal but she dropped out at the last minute.
Pat and Peggy are soon heading down winding roads on the way to a hotel, while Peggy tries to tease out of Pat the real reason why she's going to Spain. Peggy plays a guessing game with Pat as to who she might be going to meet in the hope that she'll cave in to her continual questioning.
As they arrive at the country retreat, they're asked to be a witness for a civil ceremony. When the proceedings begin, Peggy's still pushing Pat for more information. Suddenly, the ceremony stops and one of the parties rush out of the room. Both Pat and Peggy go to advise each partner in the hope of bringing them back together on what is supposed to be the happiest day of their lives.
The ceremony hiccup results in Pat and Peggy arguing about the conflicting advice they gave to each of the men, but their tiff bonds them and Pat is soon telling Peggy the real reason why she's going to Spain. Both Pat and Peggy are then shocked to see Ricky and Diane at the hotel – they've turned up completely out of the blue. Pat immediately asks: 'What's happened to Frank?'
Elsewhere, Chelsea's trying to track down her father, Lucas, and is dreaming about his supposed riches. She hits a brick wall, however, when she realises that she can't really use Libby's laptop properly. Libby's not impressed that Chelsea's looking for her father, but she reluctantly helps her search online and she's soon handing her a piece of paper with a name and address on.
