That grey haired hippy type bloke was a knob. The person shouldn't have parked illegally.

That's what we said here.. If he hadn't parked illegally then he wouldn't have got nicked.

If people actually parked properly then we would hardly have travel problems.

Still money making - despite what the council may tell you.

People like him annoy me as they pretend they are defending 'the people' but they don't care about how the bad parking affects other 'the people'.

It was just selfishness on behalf of the driver.

I think the woman is right about the sign not being visible.

I swear I read a news report about a judge somwhere overturning a ticket because the sign wasn't properly visible.

Agree. Funny that he knew that if the man was in the car they could not have moved it.

I am sure it is up to the council to keep them clear, which they don't.

No word of a lie, a one legged driver came into our shop - he parked on a yellow line , the traffic warden still insisted on photographing his car.

"No, No, NO, No, No NO"

Good argument, I'm going to use it when ever I disagree with anyone.

It is up to the council to ensure they are clearing displaying the signs and not be hidden.

The High Streets dead, business's going bust and people are going out of town, yet the councils are getting rich on parking fines.

Also this Mayor guy annoying, he's pushing his personal views on the public.

If people didn't park illegally they wouldn't make any money.

Also businesses wouldn't have as much custom as people wouldn't be able to get to the shops with other people parking near them.

90% don't wont to pay for resident parking permits - yet the council chooses to ignore them.

I'm not saying they should be able to park illegally but they should be able to go to their local butchers or shop and be given a reasonable amount of time to stop outside and shop or they should be able to have a special micro stay car park for cars to park for free for 30-45 minutes

This is what pees me off about this country. People will threaten public disobedience to fight for free parking, but they won't do it about the attack on benefits claimants and the disabled. :(
