Can I add a 2nd Sky+ box?

I've currently got 1 Sky+ box with subscription, and two standard boxes. One has a multi-room subscription, the other just FTA.
I'd like to change the multi-room box to Sky+ but not sure what Sky need to know? Can I just buy a second-hand box, plug it in an tell Sky? Will there be any extra monthly cost?
I have an Octo-LNB so more feeds is not a problem.
