4th single from Teenage Dream, the previous 3 have gone to #1 in US, doubt this will follow the trend. i like it though.

I thought she would've released Peacock (and caused controversy) or Last Friday Night (although its more of a summer song)

E.T was leaked earlier in the year. It was the fave amongst many fans.. I wouldnt be surprised if it made the album because of that. Hence, why I think she went for this. Peacock might have been controversial.

I would have preferred 'Last Friday Night' tbh, its 10x better than E.T (IMO).. This might turn out to be the 'Thinking Of You' of Teenage Dream.

I like E.T, having only heard it once, but it is the most catchy song of the album after one listen. It does remind me a lot of All The Things She Said by Tatu, though.

Peacock would be a pretty crap single. Whilst being quite a funny song it's certainly no more than an album track.

E.T. is a much better track

I'm quite pleased with that. There are a lot of pointless tracks on Teenage Dream, but at the very least, ET isn't one of them.

I'm glad she didn't release "Peacock" - it just stinks of gimmick and desperation, and really would have taken Katy all the way back to the start of releasing controversial shit just to get noticed.

I love E.T, and the video is bound to be amazing. But it's not single material. I'm not sure casual pop fans will 'get it'. If she wanted another top 10, then Last Friday Night would have been the obvious one to go with. Though The One That Got Away, Circle the Drain or Hummingbird Heartbeat would have made for brilliant singles too.
