is this a red herring do we think or is this number definitely the killers number?

Red herring. Well, I hope so anyway. It'd be a bit underwhelming if a phone number on a piece of paper is what catches the killer out.

Jacqueline's baby bump was blatantly obvious tonight! I notice they've made Lauren wear some thick jumpers to cover it up recently.

If you look at the part which was ripped I think it is SOC "scene of crime" so using the other numbers starting with 0207 (London area code) then it would be a phone number.

Okay so this will tell us the scene of the crime but not who committed the crime?

Perhaps it's the number of Jake's old place, leading Lauren to get back in touch with him paving the way for his return. I did read an article saying the actor has been invited back for the anniversary but I don't know if that's for the flashback episode only or whether it's for a period in the current day.

Yes that is what I am thinking!

However we are expecting Lauren knows SOC means Scene of Crime! Does she seem
    that clued on?!!!

I paused my TV box thing and saw 0207 (other numbers) 800 0221. As opposed to SOC 02.21, but I guess its subjective

    Laurne woudlnt know soc

Its 800 look closely you can see 8

Also unlikely they are 4 times, weird if emma didnt put a dot between the numbers

Lauren says to stacey she knows what happened, she can thus extract alot more than where the murder was

I did think it was an 8 to begin with but someone said it was SCO, however it is "806" then its too many digits for landline number.

Yep it's an 8. I froze it on the tv, Thought it was an E but it's too squiggly and unlike the other E and it's not an S

The 80C is not part of the number, landline numbers are 11 numbers long

Again weird lol, the pen has run dry several places so it may just be ink problem

We didnt see Emma with the folder after she ran back to look through it, she presumably would never have written it down

For some reason my first thought was an account number and/or sort code...

Perhaps "0207 946" is a code for the registration plate of Jane's car? With 0=A; 1=B, etc (and the numbers where numbers are usually found on registration plates remaining unchanged)

It's perhaps a bit complex but it would explain Emma's focus on Fatboy's video clip. I doubt Lauren would be able to work out something like that instantly, so her reaction probably blows my (third) theory out of the water.

I've just zoomed right in and the last 0 in the '800' definitely looks more like a C. The 8 is trickier as it's ripped in half but it could be an S. Still none the wiser as to who the phone number belongs to!
