"The Ball" (peak position #45)
"Long Way Down" (did not chart)
"Days Of Our Lives" (peak position #33)
"Sunday Morning And Saturday Night" (peak position #58)
"Just Got Started Lovin' You" (his only #1)
"For You" (peak position #39)
"These Are The Good Ole Days" (peak position #36)
"Since You Brought It Up" (peak position #37)
"A Groovy Little Summer Song" (peak position #26)
"Soldiers & Jesus" (peak position #34)
"Somewhere Tonight" (has not charted yet)
God bless you and him always!!!
Holly
Sorry - Madonna
Got To Be Certain, The Loco-Motion, Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi (all spent 3+ weeks at #2 iirc), Better The Devil You Know, Confide In Me, Love At First Sight, I Believe In You, 2 Hearts (she would've definitely been #1 if this was a stronger single) and All The Lovers.
Soft Cell - 'Torch'......(of course!) ;-)
Human League - 'Mirror Man'
The Sweet - 'Ballroom Blitz'
The Police - 'Invisible Sun'
Kim Wilde - 'Kids In America'
This was #1 - it's one of her best!
It's a bit of a random one, but I'm always surprised that Good Luck by Basement Jaxx not only failed to make #1, but actually failed to make top 10. It has all the makings of a massive hit, got tons of airplay too
So it was lol ooops
What Have I Done To Deserve This? - PSB/Dusty Springfield
Valerie/Stop Me - Mark Ronson/Amy W/Daniel Merriweather
Something/Come Together - The Beatles
Let It Be - The Beatles
I nearly mentioned that. Really should have been at the top.
I would also say Nights in White Satin by the Moody Blues.
I agree with all of those except Kylie- All The Lovers. A terrible song that never deserved to be number 1
Whitney Houston - My Love Is Your Love
ABBA - Chiquitita
Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)
Roxette - It Must Have Been Love
The Human League - (Keep Feeling) Fascination
Michael Jackson - The Way You Make Me Feel
Yep agree with all of those, and I'd add -
MJ - Bad and Beat It and although not one of my favourite MJ tracks Man In The Mirror really should have been number one after he died.
ABBA - I Have A Dream which should have been Xmas number one.
Tina Turner - When the Heartache Is Over
Whitney Houston - I'm Every Woman
TLC - Waterfalls
Brandy and Monica - The Boy Is Mine
Janet Jackson - Together Again
Michael Jackson - Man in the Mirror
Avril Lavigne - I'm With You
Pink - Most Girls
Take Me To Church by Hozier
Black Heart by Stooshe
Hold It Against Me by Britney - now had this not been released on a Monday and on a Sunday instead this could have easily been her 6th no.1 considering at the rate it was selling. Debuted at no.6 instead.
Is it? I wouldn't have said so.
Somebody above mentioned Tina's The Heartache is Over, but what about 'The Best' I was shocked when I discovered that never made #1. According to Wikipedia it made #5, and has reached the top 10 on two occasions, so it's not all bad
Yeah, Till The World Ends was another single that should of got the top spot too, instead it didn't even make the top 20
Crystal Gayle - Talking In Your Sleep (11)
Ray Stevens - Misty (2)
Motorhead - Ace of Spades (15)
Glen Campbell - Southern Nights (28)
Renaissance - Northern Lights (10)
OMD - Enola Gay (8)
Kid Creole and The Coconuts - Annie I'm Not Your Daddy (2)
Sex Pistols - God Save The Queen (2)
Deee-Lite - Groove is in the Heart (2)
I was going to add that it is almost criminal that OMD never had a number one in the UK, and didn't Deee-Lite miss out by just a few copies ?
