I think this is why the Original only lasted an hour instead of two hours

I absolutely loved that, up until Lewis Hamilton appeared. He really did suck all of the fun out of it all.

I take it back actually, why so long on the racing/car section?

Because Evans is a petrolhead and seems to forget not everyone else is.

Massively over run, very poor scheduling very poor production values. What do they say, "never meet your childhood heroes"

What the hell was wrong with her? Her face was so red I thought it was going to explode.

I like F1 etc so I enjoyed the last bit but giving it an impartial view... the first 30 or so minutes were great... right up to the guests doing weird things.. and after that it rapidly went down hill and in the end seemed to be Chris larking about with cars rather than presenting TFI Friday. Shame.

As I suspected it suffered from a lack of quality guests. If Lewis is the best guest they can get on for a sit down interview then it was always going to be in trouble.

She always seems so frumpy and timid on those house buying shows. I bet she's a real goer once she's got a drink in her.

Are they bringing this back or was this a one off after all?

He's a nice guy and a great racing driver but has no sparkling personality or interesting tales to tell when 1 on 1.

I don't think there's any danger of the BBC asking Evans about Top Gear again after that....

Same problem Evans had years back - Nobody ever tells him no.

The show always had poor production values though that was a part of its charm.

It's the quiet ones you need to watch, once they've had a few :D

One off although Chris said if they wanted to bring it back it should be hosted by Nick Grimshaw.

A one off, but I wouldn't be suprised if they were using it to test the water and see if there was still an interest for the show.

It was built up as an anniversary retrospective, but I've no doubt C4 used that as a smokescreen to pilot a revival. If it does particularly well in the ratings, I wouldn't be surprised to see it again. It would be nice to see some more live entertainment in this sort of mode.

The nods to Grimshaw being "the guy" for a new show, though, were very worrying. No thanks.
