I hope you dumped him. He's not good enough for you and I'm sure you could easily find someone better and who at least understands your needs and places you first

Gross. They all sound like absolutely awful people and if you can possibly distance yourself from them I think you should, or this could be really bad for your emotional well-being. I despise people like this and felt a little ill myself reading about your experience. :(

(I've only read the first post, so hope my reply is not too redundant)

I gave him what-for, which is very unlike me ;)

Moreover, he has now introduced me to best friend and his girlfriend, on their own, who are lovely. In fact, the other girlfriend says the other lot are always like that and she can't stand them.

So, things improved on the BF front, but I'm sure as hell standing my ground next time.

That's great news. But don't worry if you do get a wobble now and then...I'm sure it's only human. At least, I hope it is...I'm middle aged, and can take on the world sometimes, but am not very good at socialising without alcohol. I need to sort that.

I'm really pleased you were able to sort things. I wouldn't have had the nerve, so good on you. :)

Hmm this is weird I thought I had responded to this but perhaps it was just in my head. :o Anyway my answer was/is yes I do but I'm not sure what that's got to do with the thread.

And on topic, good for you OP. It sounds like your boyfriend might need to find himself some friends who aren't knobs.

He has two, which is a start ;)
