How on earth did Ash manage to continually avoid being nominated?

Apart from Richard, Ash was probably disliked by more hm's than anyother but somehow or other, she managed to avoid being up for evcition.
To think that during her stay, Richard, Nikki, Grace, Lea, Lisa, Imogen, Mikey, Glyn, Pete, Spiral, Jennie and Jayne, all
disliked/fellout with her at various times, yet week after week she avoided being up for eviction, where as Dickie could never seem to escape being up.
In contrast to Ash, out of all the hm's that entered the house that year, Imogen only felll out with Dickie, didn't gel with Pete or Jennie, but somehow found herself up for eviction 6 times.
It would have been interesting to see what would have happened to Ash if she'd faced more eviction's, especially pre-hnd.
I 'd have loved to have seen a Ash vs Nikki head to head.
That would have been one of the most interesting, exciting contests of alltime!

There are definite differences between perceptions inside the house and outside.

.. she can't have been as disliked in the house as many thought? Makes sense really.

I think the booing helped her in the later stages as the Hm's took some pity on her.But she wasn't disliked more than some and the booing indicated to the HM's she was unlikely to win.

The house was full of two-facedness. Many people said they disliked her but when it came to nominations they nominated someone else.

If some of the H/Ms are not genuine H/Ms, then BB can manipulate the votes. If Ash is nominated by some, then a H/M or H/Ms are coached by BB on who to vote for, then it's all a matter of figures.

Take that any way you like. ;)

Lots of people in the house were more disliked/more annoying to live with than her.

A lot of it will be due to editing. Aisleyne was clearly cast as the pantomime villain for much of the series, but obviously her HMs liked her enough not to keep nominating her. And in the end she won round a large portion of the public too.

Fingers crossed a whistle blower will pop up one day just like the one who blew the whistle on the fone votes scams.

The point your missing is that although Ash did fall out with all those people you mention, at other times she was also very popular with all those people you mention. Part of Ash's problem while in the house was that she was too popular which meant that some people fell out with her because they didn't llike who she was befriending (Richard fell out with her for befriending Imogen, Lea fell out with her for befriending Pete) while others fell out with her for not giving them the attention they thought they deserverd (Glyn and Jennie). So even when she did fall out with these people, she could be assured that enough people didn't nom her for her to escape nomination. Richard is a very different story, he was unpopular with some housemates from start to finish. Looking back on it, it was only the last nomination round where she close to being nominated, and the week she was nominated came as something of a surprise (I don't remember many people predicting it)

BB editing tends to focus on conflict so the arguments and falling outs get lots of airtime, but in reality I think that with the exceptions of right at the beginning, and right at the end, Ash was an extremely popular housemate. At several points she was all set up to become house leader, and if she had had previous experience in a leadership role she probably would have taken it. Indeed, if Ash had played a more tactical game in the house, and not gotten so close to the nomination magnet that was Pete, she could quite possibly have gone through the whole show without once being up for nomination!

Of course, there were various nomination twists and manipulations by BB, but none which prevented poor Richard from being up for nomination practically every week

The housemates Ash didn't get on with were all evicted by week eight (Grace, Lisa, Lea and Nikki), apart from Richard. The rest of the housemates liked Ash and were unlikely to nominate her. Ash was also helped out by nomination twists such as the golden ticket vote only and nomination punishment in week five in the early weeks when she was most had risk from nominations.

Ash played the game better than anyone else. She 'played / manipulated' her chosen housemates each week to ensure she didn't get nominated. Why on earth would she spend time in bed with Glyn for example  The thing is that it worked as far as housemates were concerned but her popularity outside was not enough for her to win.

I think after her behaviour the first time she was nominated, people were scared to just incase they felt her rath. She really went for it with Nikki and Lea that week.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned! lol
But she apologised for it so its cool! :p:D

Ashleyne v Nikki would have been the biggest head to head in the history of the show, I still think that was the intention all along but somehow they were never quite able to engineer it.

I always that that it was Grace that took the beating for being the baddie of BB7. She certainly had a worse time with the crowd that anyone else in that house.

Imogen was up most of those times by nomination twists rather than actually being put up by nominations. Ash recieved more nominations by more seperate housmates individually. I don't know whether they disliked her or she just annoyed the hell out of them at one time or another. I suppose there was always a bigger target and Ash did her best to duck under the raydar come nomination time.

She was the most popular female housemate from BB7.

The week they were all up turned effectively into an Ash v Nikki contest, and look who won.

Also Ash has remained popular with many of the housemates outside of the house and regularily socialises with them.
She and Glyn are great pals for example, and see each other a lot.

Indeed; and when housemates figured out how they were being manipulated, as Glyn did one week, and nominated her, they were then distracted by something else. (The next week Glyn decided he liked having a sexy playmate and that it was time to nominate Pete.)

Also, towards the end HMs thought more of winning and probably didn't see Ash as the main threat to their chances.

    That's debatable.
...and we wasn't that popular in the house.

I honestly feel that the housemates thought Aisleyne was unpopular on the outside world. This notion was made concrete when Nikki returned....to the point where Pete though he could joke that the dance troupe could be called the Anti Aisleyne Club and it would be perfectly acceptable.

I don't think she was nominated because I really don't think the housemates saw her as a threat to winning. Of course, the housemates only heard "get Aisleyne out...but Aisleyne fiercely loyal fan club were not positions in front of Endemol microphones on eviction nights, that's all.

How the housemates saw her and how she saw herself were not the same as what the public were thinking, IMO.

...Also Aisleyne's nomination advice to Spiral. - "Don't worry about it! Have a good think about it before you go in and just nominate." she says while calmly putting on her make up.
...However as soon as the diary room door shuts behind her - "I can't do it big bruvva! I don't know who to nominate!" and spends ages in the Diary room on the verge of tears before giving her own nominations.

Hows that relevent to the issue of why she didn't getting nominated? Or is this just a thread to list bad things Ash did?
