    Leonard Nimoy at the start of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock :) Ok it was a flashback and he wasn't seriously dead.

    Yes but most of the roles in true Romance were essentially cameos

    The thing about Janet Leigh in Psycho is that even though she dies 45 minutes in, she is pretty much on screen that entire 45 minutes. That gives her more screen time than pretty much any other actor in the film.

    Robert Wagner in Towering Inferno. He was a really big star at the time. After he disappeared into the smoke filled room with a wet towel on his head I waited the rest of the film for him to reappear !

    ok i know this is not early in the film....but there was still a bit to go when this character got killed off...

    leonardo dicaprio's lift scene in the departed.....still has me stunned!!
