On the wiki page for each series on the ratings column it says 'Total ITV Viewers (Millions)' . At the end of the day though, it's now getting to a point where BGT an X Factor are both becoming old formats, and it doesn't really matter who the judges are , ratings are down mostly across the board for all reality shows. It only seems to be Strictly that now regularly hits 10 million a week on weekly shows, and then between 12-14 million for the final.
Simon Cowell is a bit underhand and careless with his judging and comments.
He is a Libran with a strong sense of justice so will work it to the advantage of who he believes in ( even if he is grossly wrong.
Trouble is he doesn't really know what is best and his favourite word is current!
He is not as cool as he thinks and is rather smug too!)
The weird thing is the show probably needs Simon Cowell!. Look at how The X Factor went to seed once he left (hence why he has returned).
BGT did try it without Cowell, more so in the auditions, but it never worked. If he has quit then i would say that its going to have a bad effect on the show as a whole.
