Anyone else agree?

I was watching 'Flashbacks of a Fool' last night and it reminded me how terrible the fashion was back then.

Things like big lapels that could fly concord, frills and ruffles that did nothing for anyone's sense of fashion, polyester that stank when you sweated too much, button flies (eek), flares and flower print shirts etc etc.

It really was a horrible time for clothing IMO.

The things that my mum used to dress me in when I was a child in the 70s still makes me shudder

Oh, dear - I loved the velvets and frills and platforms and such.
    Happy days!

    the 80's were worse.:D

    all fashion is terrible. ;)

I like Oscars Wilde's quote Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months.

I liked the 80s ladies fashion that they wore in Ashes to Ashes but some of the fashions do scare me hehe.

I was a 70s child, and I have always had a soft spot for the clothes from my childhood. Also, as a Springsteen fan, I think that slender young men in the 70s looked fantastic in tight jeans and tight shirts with big collars.
