Anyone recommend a home FAX machine?

Hi

Can anyone recommend an "all-in-one printer" that has a fax machine included.

I currently use a Canon MP170 and am happy with its results, although the cartridges are expensive.

I could do with a machine that has fax capabilities as I've just left my job and no longer have ready access to the fax. I'm a membership secretary for a sports club and could do with a fax to help with registrations etc

My requirements to summarize would be

a) As good a quality as the Canon's photo's
b) Cheaper for ink cartridge's
c) The fax must be compliant with Virgin Media's phone line and
d) mustn't be too expensive

I've been looking at the Epson Stylus Office BC300F but one of the reviews I read said it wouldn't work on their phone line, which makes me wonder if they are referring to VM.

Any helpful advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Any computer attached to a phone line can send faxes.

    See here for options www.freesoftware4all.co.uk/fax.html

faxes are barely used anymore. most people just use email and a printer. is this unsuitable? likely to be a lot cheaper an option.

I've got a fax machine that I've had for years, but I can't remember the last time I used it. You can get a printer/fax/scanner for the computer for a reasonable price, it's much more useful. The dedicated fax machine is almost obsolete.
