X Factor star Dannii Minogue has admitted that she wants a big pay rise if she returns to work on next year’s series.

The judge has been widely praised this year for being the only mentor to offer constructive criticism to the contestants and even on The Xtra Factor tonight a caller praised her for her honesty. Insisting that she doesn’t ‘play games’ with her critiques, Dannii told the viewer:

I don’t want to play a game with this, I want to support Matt but all the other acts, I just want to tell them if I think the performance was great or not, I don’t want to play any games with my critique.

In a revealing interview with the News Of the World, Dannii reiterated her point and said:

“I have my strength back this year to say what I bloody want to say. I’m worth double what the other judges are paid.”

Minogue also admitted that she was gutted when Simon Cowell hit out at her last month, accusing her of acting like she is ‘above’ the rest of the show.

She said:

“My reaction was, ‘Oh My God. I don’t know why I’m imperious and above it all. I just said to him that I’m having fun this year. Maybe he doesn’t know me like that.

And how would he know her like that? To get to know anyone else on the panel, Cowell would need to take his eyes off young Cheryl Cole for more than a minute.

Dannii added:

“He’s definitely talking to Cheryl more because they’re mates and sit next to each other. I can’t hear what they’re saying. I try to stay out of it. But I don’t not speak to him.”

Asked if he fancies her, the Australian star replied:

“Possibly. Who doesn’t fancy Cheryl? She’s hot.”

Saying she is worth double doesn't say that she actually 'wants' it.

I'm worth a lot more than I am paid but that means nowt in the real world.

Like i've said before, i don't think she is as nice as she'd like people to think and people have had a go at me before for saying so, but i don't think i have to say much anymore because Dannii is doing all that by herself.

It's a huge long feature with Dannii, full photoshoot and everything. It's not a "source says" type thing. She looks lovely
