This is rediculous, ever since i updated my ipod touch from software 3 to 4, my ipod has slowed from safari to the apps, it freezes considerably more and it is just a joke how much worse the ipod performs since i updated. It sucks.

I'm not sure how it can be done, but surely there is a way to go back to ios3, as it was so much better back then.

Ipod touch 8gb 2nd gen.

How can i go back? Anyone/Everyone, please help me.

Did you update to 4.1? It fixes the performance problems of 4.

Hi I thought the 4.1 was just to stop the jailbreak?

My iPhone 3G is painfully slow, will the upgrade to 4.1 make it faster?

    TIA:)

4.1 has brought it back to 3.x speeds. The Jailbreak fix was the 4.0.1 update.

The PDF fix was in 4.0.2.

Strictly speaking, independent testing has shown the 4.1 update speeds up 2nd gen devices (iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2nd gen) compared with 4.0x, but is still not quite as fast as 3.1.x was.

Depending on where you're coming from, it may be a good idea to update to 4.1 now, or if you're still on 3.1x and have the PDF vulnerabilty fix installed, you may want to wait a little bit longer before doing the 4.1 move.
