It does seem to be part of this trend to remake and reboot series quicker and quicker after the original.Does seem too soon.

    Does seem too soon.

The original was 33 years ago so, personally, i think they've waited a fair amount of time :)

I'm certainly willing to give it a go though. Ridley Scott is involved as well so you know he'll certainly have an appreciation of how the film should come across.

What will a sequel add to a perfectly constructed movie?

And then I think 'The Godfather II'.

    It's not a reboot though, it's a sequel.

I've said it before and I'll happily say it again if you didn't know anything about Blade Runner and released it today you wouldn't realise it was over 30 years old and you'd still think it looked like the future, payphones and all. A sequel is less annoying but why mess with it at all, are they going to copy the model SFX style or just fill it with CGI.

People say these remakes and reboots don't affect the original but this will be a stain on a timeless classic.

Oh yeah, the storyline will have to explain now he's 33 years older

At last, a sequel to this sci-fi classic, i wonder if Vangelis will be involved in the soundtrack

I noticed the same confusion with the Alien film. If it says Sequel and not Reboot - it's probably a sequel and not a reboot ;-)

How does one sequel signify that? There are plenty of new ideas out there. This particular film out of thousands being made around the world each year just happens to follow on from a previous film.

And they've attached a bloody God awful director to it. Sigh...

I hope they introduce a slapstick comedy character, like Jar Jar Binks. Or a troubled teenager who becomes the hero. Or a female Blade Runner.

It's going to be crap, so they might as well make it the biggest pile of steaming crap possible.

Prisoners and Enemy were very good I thought. Can't wait to see Sicario.

Blade Runner was a one off. I wish they'd realise that.
